Pours an effervescent amber with 3 fingers of rocky eggshell colored head. Above average head retention & lacing
S: Citrus & tartness, builds a little as it warms
T: Tart & sour orange, a little dryness as well up front. Sour orange juice & dryness as this warms, a little lime & grassyness as well< Finishes with a little sweetart orange & some dryness
MF: Medium body & carbonation
I like this is as a sour, it is 6 months old, so I won't hold that against it, but I beleive most IPA asspects are AWOL at this point. Drinks alright as it is. Would like to try it fresher, just to see the contrast

16 oz. Can
Canned: 06/25/18
My first from this brewery. 5 months on this can.
Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice hazy orangy color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, guave, apricot, peach), nice tart/sour. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, guave, apricot, peach), pretty nice tart/sour note. Medium body, ABV is hidden very well, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, surprised me, this is a pretty tasty brew, even with 5 months on it, glad to see it around here. A nice take on the style.

Really nice look and citrusy aroma. Taste is way off somehow. Tart but really weird and not in a good way. Almost tastes spoiled beer or like a grapefruit juice that has been sitting out in the hot sun for hours. Not really working for me at all, and a drainpour unfortunately.

Can to tulip glass.
The appearance was a dark copper to orange color with a stifled quarter finger's worth of white foamy head. No lace.
The aroma had a decent blend of green apple, purple grape, slight white grape, some orange pulp, pine needles, and a slight sharp gin-like fruity citrus character.
The flavor was fairly tart with a slight sour and a quick sweet fruity skin-like character. Slight aftertaste of fruity skin, slightly tart and sweet.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation and ABV felt on par. Good finish of sticky sweet to tart fruity skin.
Overall, pretty good Farmhouse sour IPA I'd have again.

Pours a cloudy copper color. 1/4 inc head of a white color. Slight retention and poor lacing. Smells of citrus, pale malt, slight sweet malt, slight resin, and slight piney hops. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. There is an elevated tartness and slight bitterness. Tastes of strong citrus, citrus hops, hint of sweet malt, slight pale malt, hint of salt, and a hint of bacterial funk. Overall, citrus, tart, and hoppy; good blend, but weak in the appearance.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 1/23/2018. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, green apple, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread, hay, straw, floral, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, green apple, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread, hay, straw, floral, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tartness and light herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, green apple, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread, hay, straw, floral, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness balance, with zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an outstanding sour IPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink; with the mellowly acidic/drying finish, never overly lactic. Outstanding hop showcase of Pacific Gem and Hallertau Blanc. Perfectly balanced Lacto and citrus/tropical hop juiciness; with a nice bready malt backing against acidity. Touch of dank/earthy notes. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
