I picked this up in a 4 pack outside Burlington MA based on the salesperson's suggestion to try something hard(ish) to get. Before I cracked it I was slightly dismayed by the negative comments on BA but was excited to give something new a try nonetheless.

As I had read this didn't pour like a true NEIPA (Ex: Bissell Brothers The Substance from where I'm from in ME) since it was NOT like pouring OJ...but holding it to the light there's definitely some haziness to it. Head was a little lacking but I was pleased with the aromas of grapefruit and pine.

In short this beer did not live up to it's title "Pulp" but that doesn't mean you should shy away from giving it a try. It seems to stand between a classic IPA and a NEIPA with a bigger ABV. I'll drink the rest of this 4 pack and would drink it again...

Hazy, cloudy and inviting. Exactly what I expect from a NE IPA. A bit dank and yet still floral with citrus. Feel was smooth and satisfying and not bitter. Very drinkable. Reminds me of skiing in Vermont and kicking back afterward for a well earned pint. I applaud this IPA wish I could find it more often - it is always out of stock at the local craft beer stores...

It's in the style and has some really nice tropical notes and spun candy/cotton candy sweetness in the finish. More along the lines of a mimosa so pretty dang good.

This beer is neither hazy nor juicy, and my rating reflects the difference between the implied promise on the label and the reality of what's in the can. It's definitely not a New England IPA a la Tree House/Trillium/Hill Farmstead. It's a fine sorta-West-Coast IPA with a good amount of piney bitterness, and if it was marketed as such, I would have been happier. Caveat emptor...

Tall can, 10/27/17 on a sticker attached to the four pack holder

Pours medium amber, hazed early, cloudy upon the later pours. Supports a long lasting and frothy light oatmeal cap, thicker collar and heavy strands of lacing left on the glass.

Fruity nose, with a hint of smoke and a whiff of chives.

Not a juicy as advertised either...seeing a pattern here? Better then respectable NE style IPA, but lacks the juiciness, complexity and tropical fruit goodness of the upper tier brewers of the style....still certainly worth a try, but dont expect this to be the "Nectar of the Hop Gods" (also advertised on the can....)

Hazy dark gold with mild carbonation and minimal head. Tropical fruit aroma and the taste is similar. Hardly any bitterness and drinks very smooth, slick, and easy. It's got a sneaky 8%.

This might be my favorite IPA over Sip of Sunshine now. It really tastes like orange juice to me. I was very surprised by many of the ratings on this saying the name was misleading. I find this beer to be really well balanced and the 8% abv to be well hidden. Many times IPAs over 7-71/2 taste too much of alcohol. If you are a hard core bitterness lover there is a distinct lack of bitterness on the finish.

Pint can. 6/6/18

Gold/orange/ copper color, slight haze, good carbonation that easily sets up an excellent white foamy fluff cap. Nice lace.

Sweet and fruity hops and sweet amber style maltiness in the nose. Heady and sweet fruity scented tropical-style hops steal the show. Caramel malty tones underneath.

This Dipa really comes across as much more West coasty style, Bigger, sweeter and heftier malty profile. Big, green, high alpha bitter hops hit first, earthy-dry tones, grainy and hearty edge after with an abundance of high-toned, tangy and spicy but very fruity hop tones. Acidic citrus, like grapefruit and long sweet notes from something like honeydew melon. Hop flavor overall is very high level complexity. The alcohol, 8% is surprisingly hot, adding some tingly bitterness to the flavor and mouthfeel.

Certainly a bit rough around the edges.Bordering on West coast Dipa's, not nearly as hazy, juicy or smooth feeling as some of top versions of this popular style. With that said, it's enjoyable experience for what whatever it is.

The description on the can drew me in: “a juicy hazy New England IPA. “

What a disappointment. It’s anything but the description. It’s not very hazy. It’s not juicy. It doesn’t have a nice citrusy nose.

It’s got a strange nose and flavor which I cannot identify...it’s not a phenolic taste as with infected yeast...it’s not citrusy at all either. Best described as, sorry to say, B.O. Ouch.

Maybe a better description is simply Strange Brew.

I am willing to try it again, as it’s a local brewer, to see if my batch was an anomaly or if it’s the recipe.

I will say that once you get beyond the nose, it is quite drinkable.

with clean mouthful.

Bought a 4-pack at Ryan and Casey Liquors. The beer had a clear yellow appearance with great lacing on the sides. Somewhat flowery aromas with grass and citrus fruits like oranges. A little bitter but has a sweet aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel. Overall, not bad; very nice appearance and aromas.
