Collaboration with Transmitter Brewing

Our buddies from Transmitter have officially moved from Queens to Brooklyn, so we brewed a beer together to celebrate! Pours hazy pinkish-red and tastes exactly like a strawberry-watermelon Jolly Rancher™. Brewed with a unique new strain of brewer’s yeast (courtesy of our friends at Lallemand) that provides a lemony twang on the finish.

A: The beer is very hazy yellowish pink in color. It poured with a thin film of white bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of yogurt are present in the nose along with notes of lemons. These become replaced by strawberries and watermelon as the beer begins to warm up.
T: The taste has light to moderate flavors of lemons, strawberries and watermelon along with hints of yogurt. Like the smell, the taste becomes more dominated by strawberries and watermelon as the beer warms up.
M: It feels a bit shy of being light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. There is a bit of yogurt-like creaminess in the mouthfeel.
O: The strain of yeast used in this beer definitely creates some interesting aromas and flavors but it wasn't especially drinkable until it warmed up and smelled and tasted more like strawberries and watermelon across the board.

Enjoyed on tap and from growler. Crisp fruited sour pairs perfectly with spicy food, particularly Indian, Thai or Vietnamese. George Costanza fans will love its beautiful “pinkish hue”.
