Serving Type Sampled: Sampled on tap at Thunderhead Brewery, Kearney Nebraska

Appearance: This beer pours almost black in color with a crimson hue. Creamy 1 finger mocha head that faded rather quickly leaving smudges down the sides of the glass.

Smell: Sweet malt, peat smokiness, earthy.

Taste: Very malty as one would expect. Apparent peat smoked malts. No hops are tasted. The balance is toward the malt. The finish is quite grainy and so what astringent like that of tannins.

Mouthfeel: Medium in body, Light carbonation.

Drinkability: Good, this beer is not quite to style but still a good session beer.
