A: The beer is very hazy dark yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down but left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and specks of bubbles running down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of citrus hops—oaranges seem to stand out in particular—are present in the nose along with notes of pine.
T: The taste seems to be dominated by the Azacca hops and has flavors of citrus and mango along with hints of pine. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: With all of the hops, this beer is just like a New England IPA. It is extremely easy to drink.

16oz can in an IPA glass.

Poured a murky golden-orange color with a 1-plus F head that fades to film and leaves moderate lacing.

Light citrus and tropical fruits with sugary malt and a note of alcohol.

Very clean tropical fruit flavors. Mango and pineapple. A little pine, too.

Juicy with tingle from carbonation and hop bitterness. The alcohol on the nose is lost, it remains slightly sweet, and could benefit from a bit more malt body.

The alcohol smell was not expected a 5.9% abv but it recovered nicely. Leans like a AIPA.

Body the color of Werther's original, cloudy, finger of fizzy dirty-white head. Doesn't look at all like what one would expect and likewise does not look particularly good. Decent retention; no lacing. The aroma is vaguely fruity with some definite grassiness and toasty malt. The flavor is mainly a bracing herbal forest floor bite and some spicy malt and a touch of caramel. It is very dry and quenching with active carbonation.

I get the impression that the beer I am drinking is not the beer this was supposed to be (but maybe my perception was poisoned by what xPAs have turned into and what the can/description implied to me). It smells fairly fruity but on the whole is more reminiscent of a classic APA. Everything is kind of muddled and brown, though due to the fact that regardless of what they were going for it is not an undrinkable mess. If I was looking at it like SNPA it is hideous, out of balance/hop character and not malty enough. If I was looking at it like a colorful tallboy with a million DH additions I'd say there isn't enough fruitiness, it's ugly and the malt was too strong. As it is, it was a relatively tasty beer with a little bite that seemed to be halfway between the two extremes.

Poured from a 16 oz can.

Pours a hazy orange color with a two finger white head. The head is gone in a hurry, leaving a nice halo of lacing as it goes. The head finally settles into a white ring that sits atop the beer.

The aroma is relatively light and straightforward for a hoppy pale ale. There's a good amount of citrus up front; orange and grapefruit rind, with a touch of lemon zest. Then comes a wave of earthy pine resin. The back end is buttery, cracker malt.

Despite the good, but underwhelming nose, this beer packs a ton of flavor. Tons and tons of juicy citrus, followed by a hefty amount of sticky, earthy pine, and a backbone of bready, cracker malt. There's even a very faint hint of cracked pepper on the finish.

The feel is medium-light bodied with good carbonation. Very crisp and dry. The flavors roll off the tongue quickly.

Overall, a very good pale ale. I hadn't heard of this brewery before picking up a can and I can honestly say I'm pleasantly surprised by this beer. It's crisp, refreshing, and highly drinkable, but doesn't pull any punches when it comes to the hops and flavor.

From the growler (from WRJ VT Co-op), it pours a lightly hazy light amber with a moderate head. No lacing seen. Pleasantly hoppy fragrance emanates from the brew. The mouth is enthralled by the moderate hoppy malt flavor. Yum!
