12 oz. can poured into tight nonic
(courtesy of @TongoRad)

L: pours clear copper ... dark copper with lots of dark brown and crimson; clear ruby red in the glass though it's so dark that it's hard to see through; topped by half-inch head of tan foam; no major sticking or lacing; keeps thin collar of tan-brown foam

S: coffee, red wine, dark chocolate; as it warms it gets sweeter with milk chocolate, chocolate shake, espresso java shake coming to mind

T: cold-brewed coffee, espresso, baker's chocolate or cocoa powder; as it warms the chocolate gets a bit more pronounced and sweeter but only by a little; has a rye-like twang to it ... not sure what it is, but it definitely sticks out ... could be the hops mixing with the other notes; in fact, the aftertaste is starting to take on a slight tropical fruit flavor (mango) with a hint of hop bitterness; the deep way late aftertaste is woody ... oak or mesquite wood and not overly charred

F: light bodied; thin but crisp layer of carbonation fill it out some; the way the carbonation nips late in each swallow and almost after the swallow is a highlight

O: all-around great beer, very easy to drink for 6.5% ABV with a nice twist from the hops; the ABV puts it well above true session-beer range, but it's closer to that than the big-bold desert-like coffee stouts in the 8%-plus range

Can thanks to TongoRad. Cheers Michael!

Pours black but not pitch black as I can see some reddish highlights. +1 finger of foam, looks to be long lasting.

Smells of roasted malt, dark chocolate, the malt almost has a burnt sensation to my nose, coffee is very noticeable but far from overwhelming.

Lovely taster. Roast, almost, maybe burnt where it comes off to me as a bit smoky, bitter chocolate, solid coffee flavour, nice and dry.

On the high end of medium bodied, spot on carbonation.

What an excellent drop of a Porter!

Tasted at the brewery because Fuego was kicked.

Look: Dark, being pretty opaque where the beer is deepest. Cola where the light runs through. Head runs light but not excessive.

Smell: All coffee with malt in the background. Zero hops in the nose as far as I can tell. Coffee, coffee, coffee.

Taste: This is a serious coffee bomb. The malt pops up on the back end, but it plays second to the (I assume) ridiculous amount of coffee they put in this thing.

Feel: Thin mouth feel, which is what I want/expect from a porter. Not heavy like a stout. Not sticky either. Pretty liquid all-in-all.

Overall: This is a nice porter for the beer lover. It's brewed with coffee from Revolution Coffee Roasters (a local roaster), hence the name. It lives up to the heritage in its name. There is no mistaking the brewer's intention here. Give them coffee, give them beer; give them COFFEE BEER!

Very well done Porter. Great flavors of coffee, malt, smoke and a minor bite of bitterness that worked well for this beer.
