A double-dry hopped, American Double IPA, Powder Daze is brewed with a heavy dose of malted Oats and English Marris Otter malts giving it a smooth body with a great malt backbone for an immense amount of hops in the kettle and again during the two dry-hop additions, which includes Lupulin Powder.

3rd review. Makes it over the 4 bar for me. Here's why.
a) Apricot haze that slashes lasting lace and head.
s) Medicine chest, cough syrup, herbs, spruce, pine, (almost Christmasy)
t) Follows aroma but adds fruit in direction of papaya, grape, melon, orchard more than citrus. (OK by me)
f) Chewy, creamy, hides abv.
o) Strong flavors, bold.

Pours a foggy orange with two fingers of dense, rocky, white foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is citrus, papaya, tangerine, mango, resin, and orange with a little sting of hop burn. Yeast softens up the back end of the aroma, but otherwise it's hops through and through. Flavor profile is papaya, tangerine, mango, orange, resin, and syrupy hops with a hint of yeast at the close. As it warms, the citrus ripens into a more fleshy, ripe fruit flavor, as opposed to the slightly cold and green taste from before. Hop burn is absent in the flavor profile. Mouth feel is a touch fuzzy and velvety, before leading into a lightly grainy texture. Overall, big hops with a tropical fruit focus.

Served in a 15.5oz Spiegalau tulip from a 16oz can.

Hazy yellow body; one-finger thick head, dense and creamy; globs of foam adhering to the glass. Very fine lemon aroma; orange rind. Tart, citric, mildly malt-like flavor; fine blend of citrus fruit and hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; creamy; dry finish overall.

Wow! A very fine, hazy IPA. Without any clear-cut definition of what an NEIPA is, and never having tried some of the often cited examples, all I can say is that if more beers claiming a NEIPA connection exhibit this kind of quality, balance, and complexity, then this may be more than a passing phase. A fine, fine ale...

Kudos to @ tzieser for this opportunity...
