looks good in the glass. lots of carb

smells real good, a bit muted at first but a swirl of the glass brings forth cherry, funk sourness and oak

flavors is real good. cherry upfront, oak, funkiness sour and ned's with sweetness. the cherry flavors are very good

body is thick for a6% sour, good carb.

L: Poured from a bottle to a tulip glass. Had a blood red color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a thin, off white, foamy head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing to speak of.

S: A very nice aroma of cherries, a sour funkiness, oak, malt, a vinegary quality, and a sugary element.

T: Tasted of a tinge of the advertised oak (mostly in the finish), a bit of light malt, a ton of cherries (very bracing), a lot of the vinegary / funky quality, and a little citrus as well. An incredibly effective, straightforward flavor. Lots of character and complexity. Fruity and delicious.

F: A below average amount of carbonation with a lively finish. Medium-bodied.

O: An exceptionally well-made wild ale. I look forward to having more from American Solera.

Clear orange pinkish color with off-white head. Aroma is fruity with wood barrel notes and earthy yeast funk. Taste starts tart with barrel notes and farmhouse funk but the cherries kick in with a fresh fruit sweetness. Finish is dry but lingers with the fruity note. Light body, medium carbonation. Overall it's a really well made, quite complex lambic style beer.

375 mL bottle. Light reddish body. Like a dark pink, kinda amber. Small white head. Smells of a bit of cherry. Like a cherry pie cherry aroma. Some oak. Light acidity. Tastes of cherry. A little spicy like an apple pie. Green apple tartness. Oak softens it with some vanilla. Works very well. Medium body. Really nice use of the cherry flavor.

This is probably the most cherry I've gotten in a beer without the flavor of robitussin dominating the profile. Super tart, complex yet not heavy, but definitely a sipper

2015 Vintage
The beer pours an amber red with a medium white head. It has medium carbonation. The beer smells of sweet cherry pits, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin. The beer is tart, with sweet cherry pits, cinnamon, nutmeg, and faint oak. The feel is medium. A nice cherry sour from American Solera.

Milky pastel red with a minimalist faint white ring.

Smell is carrot cake at first with cherry second, but more cherry emerges as it warms, and I get notes of pink lemonade and a hint of peppery oak. Mike says this reminds him of Magic Markers lol.

Taste is acidic, sour green apple, and, actually, maraschino cherry that's closer to gummies. Body is medium to thin with a certain softness and semi-dry finish.

2016 release
No bottling date, but i believe this was released around July, 5 months ago

Appearance- Pours a glowing, lighter burnt orange color, mildly hazy. Thin layer of fizzy white colored head. Minimal head lacing on glass.

Aroma- Fruity tartness, sour cherry, crisp tart apples, bright lemon lime. Lots of funkiness, earthy yeast, wet hay, barnyard, grassy. Dry oak w/ slight spice notes.

Taste- Sour cherries, sweet cherry pie filling, oak, creamy vanilla. Tart apples, zesty crispness w/ bright lemon lime notes. Funky yeast, barnyard funk, earthy, spicy, wet hay and grass.

Feel- Medium bodied, moderate amount of tartness that never gets overbearing. Crisp, clean carbonation that accentuates tartness.

Overall- Cherries bring a real nice combination of sourness and sweetness. While adding to the overall tartness of the beer, they also combine with the oak to add a sweet cherry / vanilla type dessert flavor. Brett yeast adds a whole bunch of funkiness, that raw barnyard type funk. Beer is just so complex and layered, and enjoyable.
