Can from brewery
No date but black dot on bottom if means anything

Hazy pale yellow, 2 finger bright white head that lingers
Smells tropical, pineapple, apricots
Tastes as smells but with bitter citrus rinds, malty back bone
Mouthfeel creamy, tingley, chewy, this side of cloying
Overall prefer Focal Banger, may have been a better fit on 90+ degree day

poured from a 16oz can into a spiegelau IPA glass. pours a clearish orange with nice thick white head. a few little hop proteins floating around that i didn’t have the discipline to leave behind in the can. smells like tropical & citrus fruits and dank hops. i love the combination of galaxy and citra. somewhat similar yet somewhat contrasting but work well together. taste isn’t quite as delectable as the smell. a bit of bitterness which is ok but doesn’t pack the fruitiness that the nose does. feel is thick and very creamy. loving that aspect of this pour. overall, not quite up there with Heady, Focal or Crusher but that’s tough competition. still an excellent IPA.

Purchased at the truck sale on 8/16 and consumed that evening. Pours with a big sticky head, remarkable for a beer of this ABV. Aroma is pine, tangerine and blueberries with some herbal dankness lurking in the background. Taste is more of the same, with some sweet malt flavor and considerable alcohol. There is a slight oxidized flavor that doesn't detract much. Rapture is pushing the upper limits of the style, and alcohol is getting too much stage time at the expense of hops, IMO. I know that alcohol is needed to dissolve the hop oils and deliver them to our taste buds, but this one just seems a little over the top... not that it isn't a great beer, just one to approach with caution as it is very clean and dangerously drinkable for a strong beer.

This extraordinary IPA is all offense--it attacks your palate, your sinuses and your senses. Bristling hop intensity comes at you with a volley of tastes, most leaning toward bitter citrus. More than a beer, it's an experience.

16 oz can from 8/16 truck sale.

Pours a clear medium dark copper with a sticky, retentive white head and leaves behind some thin sheets of lace. Some chunky sediment remains suspended in the otherwise clear body. Huge hoppy nose of pine and candy, resin and light cedar. Medium thick body, chewy and sticky throughout. Bubblegum bitter citrus sweetness dominates flavor with a hint of spiciness, leaving a prickly dry and bitter film on the tongue and a strong boozy warming sensation in the throat. Throughout the flavor dances right up to the too sweet and too boozy line while rarely crossing it. Been turned off by IIPAs this big lately and this was my least favorite of the Heady, Focal, Crusher lineup from this sale, but that doesn't diminish the quality and "ease of drinkability" for what this is.
