Smells pleasant and tastes bright. A little thin, maybe the 'Belgian' style?

16oz can. Pours a translucent yellow gold with an inch of head. Lots of lacing. The aroma is yeasty and funky with some cloves, coriander, lemon and lime. First sip is mostly the bready yeast as well as coriander and cloves. Some grassy hops later on as well as lime zest and honey. More of the Belgian yeast at the finish with some pepper and funk. Medium body with a well hidden ABV. Not the typical beer you'd expect from The Alchemist, and for that reason alone it's worth a least a try.

From can. Hazy bright yellow color with off-white head. Aroma has sweet wheat and vanilla notes with some floral yeast. Taste is sweet at first, somehow milky, yeasty, slightly bitter and astringent on the finish. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Quite nice beer overall, seems like a combination of a witbier and a saison.

Pours a murky yellow with fine foam and some floaties.

Smell is very Belgian, with lots of yeasty apple, some cloves and a bit of grass.

Taste is yeasty with a bit of funk and grass. A substantial bitterness finishes with some booze.

Mouthfeel is medium and sparkly.

Overall, a very American take on a saison, with it's high bitterness. Very tasty.

L -- Pours a clear straw colored body with a dense, three-finger white head produced with moderately aerated pour. Definitely less retention than traditional saisons, but still pretty decent. Good lacing as well
S -- Pilsner malts, sundried tomato, floral notes, doughy yeast, lemon, a touch of citrus, honey, and rosemary
T -- Quite sweet honey-like malt profile. Also getting yeast, garden-herb hoppiness, and a touch of lemon
F -- The sweetness makes the character a little cloying. Fluffy, medium carb, medium mouthfeel
O -- The sweetness could definitely be turned down a notch, but otherwise a pretty interesting take on a saison. It's The Alchemist, so of course there's some hop character, yet it doesn't overwhelm

Stifler's Beer - Yellow body, white foamy head, LOTS of yeast floating around in there...but taste is great balance of citrus, lemon and yeast - not overpowering on the lemon like many saisons - nice feel too
