16oz can, July 2017, poured into a 14oz snifter glass. Enjoyed on 8.17.17, reviewed from Tasting Journal.

The beer pours a cloudy and hazy golden copper color, nice straw hues with a white head that is fluffy and offers great retention and spots of lace. The aroma is very earthy, pungent mosaic hops that are very grassy, green, weedy and dirty with pale grain and a light fruit character that opens up as it warms. The flavors miss the mark for me, skunky mosaic hops, quite earthy, weedy, grassy, dirty, muddy, with bitter pine and it becomes very herbaceous but more floral and fruity as the beer comes to room temperature with a pale grain backbone that is a bit stale and bitter. The mouthfeel is good, coating medium body that is nice and lively with a crisp and dry finish.

Verdict: An okay IPA from The Alchemist, probably my least favorite IPA of theirs to date. It has none of the qualities that make Focal Banger attractive and is exceedingly green and herbaceous. It improves as it warms up, but still remains unbalanced and out of sync.

Can shared by Mike. Thanks man.

Pale yellow body with a half inch of white cap. Aromas of pineapple, bready spice, lemonade. Tangy with light sweetness. Hop forward and light in body. Prickly carbonation. Solid.

16 oz can from brewery in Stowe
3 weeks old (my last one)
Hazy golden corn color with foamy white finger of head
Smells of intense tropical fruit and grass
Sweet hoppy flavor with dank/bitter aftertaste
The malt flavor is present, but subdued compared to the hops
Creamy mouthfeel.
Just an intense hop experience in the nose and in the mouth.
Amazingly fresh after a long haul to Pittsburgh after a camping trip.
Alchemist can do no wrong.

16oz can. Pours a slightly hazy bright yellow color with an inch of head. Some lacing. Nose is lots of citrus and tropical fruits. Lime, tangerine, mango, guava, papaya, pineapple and a hint of floral hops. The taste is much like the aroma. Juicy with a good deal of bitterness. Tropical fruits and citrus peel at the end. Dank hop finish. Medium body with a dry mouthfeel. Mild alcohol presence. Worth seeking out while it lasts.

It pours very bright yellow and hazy with a decent head. The aroma is dank and tropical, with lots of mango and papaya. The flavor is intensely bitter but with a sweet fruity malt backbone. Decent body and very mild carbonation. A true treat!
