Had this one on tap last night at Vine Street Pub in Denver. Although we went for the Cherry Dip, we stayed for this one. Rich dark brown/black color, decent brown head. Aromas of cherry, rum and bourbon. Medium bodied, with flavors of coconut, oak and cherries. Easily the best beer of the night.

another fine stout from Stout Month at Vine Street Pub.

Black pour, dark ruby around the rim. Chocolate shake looking head with some reddish tints. Damn, looks de-lish-us

Aroma is a bit boozy with roasted caramel and dark cherry. It's like a barrel aged, but instead of a vanilla undertone, it's cherry.

Flavors are nicely blended. Chocolate and cherry come through, with a touch of spice and vanilla. The booze is kind of like a rum-ness, but doesn't get in the way of the beer-ness. Has the end hints of coffee and black plum. Somewhat dry on the end, but stilla bit juicy.

Easy drinking; I think the abv is around 6%. Nice beer.

when i was at the brewpub in longmont they called this one the "6 year blend stout" which i was informed is the same beer as listed here. pours a dead sexy chocolate syrup brown with a malted milkshake frothy head. smells like oak, booze, and just a hint of sour cherry behing a deep roasty body. flavor is huge, so much going on. big woody flavor with a very pleasant dose of tart cherry in the middle, finishing off with all the big burnt barley complexity youd expect in a big stout. i never really like fruit beers, but this one is sensational. the mouthfeel makes it. its so smooth and mellow, almost like a murphy's in feel, which is a remarkable accomplishment in a beer listed at 9.5%. the wood must help a lot. not sure if "6 year blend" is literal here or not, but it is that mellow in the mouth. i was really impressed with this one, and might try to get down to vine street this week if its still down there. a really lovely specimen here
