The vibe here is cool with a historic brick building with brick on the interior as well, plus a nice rustic two story restaurant vibe. Definitely more of a restaurant than a dedicated craft brewery or bar. They say on their website this building was never actually a fire house, but the original owners in the 90s thought it would attract customers if they said it was.

Beer quality was fine. Not off putting but the more malty/yeasty styles weren't all that different (the saison amd the hefeweizen were very similar). The NEIPA was a tad sweet and yeasty as well, with similar characteristics to other ales I had, suggesting they reuse yeast and use the same strain for most beers.

Service was nice, but we sat at a table and only interacted with one server. It was a busy restaurant in Longmont and it felt like one, with the server doing their very best, but still having moments of "I hope she comes back soon".

Selection of beer was surprisingly large with a rotating and core menu, as well as rotating guest beers. Unfortunately I thing they are trying to appeal to the biggest number of people as opposed to perfecting their beers.

The food is the main attraction here. It was very good and I am craving it writing this review (after the fact). Great pretzel, mashed potatoes, and chicken fried chicken (unfortunately not chicken fried steak). I finished my meal and the folks I went with regularly visit as their out to eat spot, but neither of them like beer.

This place is always looking for ways to catch your attention. New brews, new flavor a matched with great menu! Their mango poke is awesome. Never a bad meal, always a new brew to test drive! Plus, this is a firefighters bar, never a bad choice!

Went here on a sunday afternoon with my gf and my dog. Found a table on the patio, lots of open space overlooking downtown longmont. Host who sat us took our drink order and brought my dog some water which was really cool of him. Our actual server only came by once to check on us after we had already gotten served, I overheard another server say that they all pool tips so Its not a big deal. After we had a flight of 5 beers our server showed up and asked if we wanted our bill which I thought was kinda rude since most servers would first ask if we were doing ok or needed anything else. We took our bill since we had a couple more breweries to hit up in the area. The beers we did have were slightly above average plus they had a ton of bottled beer from other local and national breweries. We didn't have any food but I looked through the menu and it seemed to offer a wide variety of things. Prices were below the average of most places, I would go back there again for the nice patio, good selection and value.

So..5 bucks for an Imperial Stout mixed from the last 8 years worth of batches! Best sweet potato fries ever! I was here right at opening on a Monday on a beer trip from Minnesota. Pints are 4.50 for in house. Fantastic prices for guest cans/bottles. 4.50 for Racer 5. 5 bucks for Union Jack. 4.50 for SKA MH.

Upon arriving at Pumphouse, it appeared to be the cookie cutter type place you find in malls that put out standard and uninspired fare to initiates who want to splurge a little beyond the macro realm. Boy was I wrong. This lineup was solid, although I really enjoyed the barrel aged beer on tap and their IPA was good as well. Service was satisfactory and selection was ok, but not great. I recommend doing a flight here and ignoring the decor, it is not what it seems. While I wouldn't say it isn't on par with some of the best in the country, but it was a pleasant surprise.

cool spot right in longmont proper. huge addition on the place makes it feel a little less than cozy, but a cool layout and a nice big bar are in place. open and sort of grand feeling for a taproom, with a nice selection of beers, about ten or 12 on tap, and an extensive food menu. as much a restaurant as a brewery for sure. the service was good, lots of free tastings came our way, and the quality of the beer was high overall. i enjoyed a nice scottish ale and a six year blend cherry stout. somewhat more ambitious beers than i had been expecting when i walked in, which is always a nice surprise. i had a big bacon mushroom bison burger that was cooked perfectly and topped with homemade beer mustard. lovely, and a great companion to the beers i had too. i took home a growler of double ipa for only 13 bucks. good prices, good beer, an easy place to relax and crush pints. dont let the almost chain restaurant look and feel of the place turn you off, the quality here of both beer and food is quite high.

I really enjoyed visiting the Pumphouse. Brew selection was decent and the food was very good. Service couldn't have been better...granted, it was a slow night and we pretty much got individual attention, but that made for a really nice experience. Very beer-knowledgeable staff. Unique brews that I really enjoyed overall...quality ranged from average to very good. Nothing really outstanding, but I was happy with my samplers. Prices were reasonable for everything.

I would definitely go back here if in the area, particularly to try the different seasonal brews...those were the best of the bunch! Merch was available for sale at the front.

Loved it.

Great bar and restaurant with a pump house / fire hall theme going on. Ample seating, including a medium-sized bar, lots of tables, and a spacious outdoor porch. Aside from the fireman decor, the brewery tanks were in plain view. I sat at the bar, as I am wont to do, typically. The bartender was friendly and helpful, and he and his coworker were very enthusiastic about talking to my wife and I about their beer, beer in general, and various other breweries and pubs in the area.

Beer selection was great for a micro serving only their own brews. I'd say maybe 15 on tap? including 6 seasonals, and everything from witbier to Scottish ale. Food was very good, decent selection, and prices were all reasonable. Great place.

was in early on a weekday. entered through the back and was greeted by an entire wall of empty vintage bottles, on the other wall were old fireman knick knacks which were enjoyable. inside is a massive two story restaurant with the bar like where the command station would be on a spaceship.

i had the flame thrower burger and a whiskey barrel aged scottish ale. the burger was amazing. hot as shit and full of flavor. i could say the same thing about the beer but in a bad way. it was an alchohol sledge hammer that hit you like supermarket birthday cake style.

service was same ol same ol.

the selection was much better than i was expecting from a place that at first seemed to be more focused on the restaurant. there was a fairly diverse selection of regular brews (amber, copper, wheat, ipa, scottish, red) as well as five seasonals and a barrel aged or cask selection.

as mentioned earlier the food was dank.

prices were average to above average on the food, but relatively inexpensive for the brews. it was an awesome place to just happen upon and i highly recommend stopping by if youre in the area.

First stop on my Lyons/Longmont beer trip yesterday.

First of all- parking is a bit tricky, since it's located in downtown longmont and it was a weekend, but we got lucky and found a spot in the lot just behind the structure and entered through the back door.

Great atmosphere inside- a huge circular bar with one side open to the indoors, and an openable garage door on the other side to the patio area- I imagine it'd be lots of fun in the summer. There's also an auxiliary bar in the back that looks like it has yet to be used, but could be if the need arose. Lots of firehouse decorations and TV's and music, and just a good time in general. The whole time we were there, we were being waited on by about 3 different people, and occasionally the bar tender. They were quick, polite, and everything I could ask for from a bar staff. The bartender even introduced each beer by style, characteristic, and even what GABF class it had been entered in to.

So anyways, I ended up getting a taster set, which consisted of five 4oz samples- either their regular brews, or their 5 seasonals- I went with the seasonals, which consisted of an ESB (good), a Vanilla Porter, an Imperial Stout, a Blackberry wheat, and a kolsch-style lager. I found 4 of the five to be great, and the other no worse than average. If you happen to have friends who aren't big craft beer people, they had a slew of other taps starting at bud light and ending with other micros such as left hand and new belgium.

Very impressive, I think. A well run establishment backed be a seemingly knowledged brewer.

Every year I travel out to visit my Aunt and Uncle in Longmont, CO and I end up going to the Pump house Brewery. This place has kind of a firehouse theme to it! There is dining outside on a patio or inside which there are two levels to the place. The upstairs has some low rafters that add to the look of the place. The food was good and they make if I remember right 6 or 8 craft beers on premises at a time. If you come in the back there is a narrow hall way with about 150 beer bottles lining the one side. I have tried almost all there beers and they where good. Worth checking out!

Great atmosphere for catching a drink and food after a football game. The food was overall a great flavorful well balanced palate with what they served drink wise. Great attentive service was quick and made sure that drinks where always taken care of. The selection of food was a veriety that seemed to combine with the drink availabity. The food was excellent for the price. Nachos with beef was alot of toppings with the chips and their wings were extremely delicious! Overall I will recommend this establishment to anyone heading to longmont and wanting a good sitdown restraunt with for their value of money.

This place is cool! The production is small and they seem to like to keep it that way - very hands on. I was there with a tour and we had a pre-prepared lunch. There were chips and salsa and a some excellent wraps. If this is any indication of the food, then it is worth going just for that (the place was pretty full for lunch on a Wednesday). The beers were mostly top notch - some better than others....but that is probably just a style preference. The staff and brewers went over and beyond while being asked questions. Definitely recommended!

What a pleasant surprise, like Longmont itself - a fun, unassuming brewpub in a fun, unassuming little town that lives in the shadow of Boulder.

The Atmosphere is pleasantly chaotic - the restaurant is big, open, airy, and noisy, but the chaos speaks of people having fun. The service is crisp, friendly, and efficient. The menu is about what you'd expect from a high end brew pub, that is to say, a little of everything, and the food quality appears to be quite good. The beers are tasty as well. The place is extremely kid-friendly, with a good kids menu, big kid-accessible tables and booths, and the restaurant is littered with firehouse-related toys that the kids can play with.

Check out Longmont just for fun, and while you're there, check out the Pumphouse.

We only stopped here briefly and only had some samples (we were kind of hazy from the previous day in Fort Collins). The place is an old firehouse so all of the tap handles are mini fire hydrants and they have other random firehouse stuff on the walls. They had several beers available that day (~10) and most of those we sampled were rather tasty. Nothing stood out from their selection but all well balanced beers. The owner and servers were nice and even tossed us some Pumphouse stickers on the way out.

Food was yummy though nothing amazing, but definitely better than average pub grub.

I had dinner and brews here with some customers and my rep for Co.
They had a large variety of house brews some good sesonals such as an Alt, and a Kiltlifter Scottish Ale.
The Kiltlifter was nice and malty a touch sweet, quaffable even.
Initial service was not that great but a guy came saw we had not been taken care of was right on top of our table and served us well. Typical fare with some sandwhiches, burgers, salads and some decent entrees. I had the Seared Tuna salad and the tuna was very good, greens were tasty and fresh with plenty of dressing. I also had an IPA that was really good, solid malt body with a good citrus hop profile. We all shared a dessert that was a warm brownie with ice cream on a crispy sopapia-maybe? They had a chocolate stout cake that looked inviting as well.
