On tap, pours a clear light amber/copper. Nose is promising, especially for the season: some overripe apple and fleshy apricot, sweet musty hay, some spicy yeast. On the tongue, good tart sourness without being overbearing. Full flavors of fruit and kind of wet grassy notes. Mild funk, but a little indistinct/not a real strong character on that front. I lost the spice I was picking up in the nose. Pretty dry on the finish, with some definite oak. Nothing stupendous but nice harmonization of different parts. Solid and definitely worth a shot.

L: It drops bright gold with a brief 2" white cap
S: the aroma is not huge but is layered and complex and smells of mild funk, spice, apricot, fruit
T: Mild funk laced with apricot, fruit and spice. It is dry with some oak tannins on the finish. It is mid-level sour.
F: Medium light body and medium carbonation
O: the beer is refreshing and nicely put together with nothing too aggressive

Poured from 750ml bottle into glass. The beer is the first released by Wild Mind from its Barrel Room (released March of 2017).
Cloudy, deep apricot gold colored body. Some fizzy head when poured but this disappears. No lacing.
Aroma is tart/sour fruit (apricot), and leather, horse blanket funk.
Taste is medium tart, with apricot. Equal counterpart with blanket funk. Also an expression of spice (slight burn).
Medium mouth feel. Okay carbonation. Toward a dry finish.
This is a well done wild ale, well balanced fruit tart and earthy yeast funk, along with a touch of spice burn. Carbonation is also balanced with the other components. The 'Rye' part of the name is true to the spicy experience.
