Palate Contaminants: other beer
Light yellow color and very thick looking. A bit of fine white head that goes away quickly.
Black pepper and some fresh white onion for the nose. I wish I could get anything more beyond a little bit of light malt.
Metallic and vegetative taste. It's kinda like an arugula salad, although it could stand to taste fresher. Black pepper is still present, and I'd also say mild Anaheim pepper is present. It's a stretch to say there's any fruit beyond mild white grapefruit. It's actually plenty palatable in spite of my description, it's just not the usual.
Good intensity of flavor for the good stuff. It takes quite a bit of swishing to bring out medium-fine carbonation, and that's a bit prickly. Medium-heavy weight. Alcohol is more detectable than ideally.

A good NEIPA from a Montana college town. Bought from Tavour and recently received, Lupujus 6 may not be "retired" as listed on BA.
Shared on a changeover in a doubles match on a hot summer day, four votes easily won for hitting the spot. We all wanted more, but I had to keep that one for this review.
Sufficient foam and lace, Lupujus 6 was not out of the ordinary. Smells were all about the tropical fruit. Tastes also; but introduced some bitter hops at the end for balance. Refreshing, bubbly in the mouth. Lucky for me, I could have the second can.
Imagine Nation has a pretty broad mission for a micro; but I'm glad to see them doing all this community work in only their fourth year. The brewers have kept their line-up relatively simple; but specialize in the NEIPA and, I suppose, they should ride that wave for a while. But if they diversify in small ways, they should continue to be a force.
