I was very disappointed with this beer. Sounded great on paper at the establishment that I went to. Took one sip and told the bartender that I thought it went sour.
They tried it and agreed, but after reviews reading online, that sounds like that's the flavour.

About a 3 inch head that completely dissipates within 6 seconds. Pleasant aroma of coffee and cocoa. Thin, watery mouthfeel almost analogous to cola. Generally OK roasted malt flavor after initial sourness. Overall, a huge letdown from this brewery that has an otherwise great lineup.

Poured from a can. Beer pours with a black appearance and a thin head that dissipates very quickly. Decent aromas of some booze, cocoa, coffee. Tastes like bitter black coffee, especially with the aftertaste. Not too creamy but medium with the carbonation. Overall, good aromas.

Look: pours like a warm cola. Dark but thin and no head to speak of (I did pour gently though).
Smell: some roasted malt. Small coffee nose. Nothing much else.
Taste: anything it had going for it (which wasn't much) is lost here. Tastes like I imagine a lambic cola would taste. Sour notes up front. Roast is almost nonexistent. Tastes like a first extract kit fermented too warm.
Feel: thin and watery.
Trust me, stay away from this one.

L-Dark, dark cola brown looking beer with slight lacy head that dissipates to nothing.
S- Slight chocolate, slight roasted malt. A bit of an oddly phenol aroma as well. A sour stingy soy sauce like aroma is also present. I don't know. The aroma is just kind of off.
T-All I get is some, emphasis on some, roasted malt and some bitterness. Also some biscuit. Maybe a little chocolate? Some sourness. Maybe some black coffee.
F- Lighter than expected. Almost watery.
O- I am not a big fan of this beer. It's a stout, I guess. It has some distinct roasted malt, but it's just not fleshed out enough to even be called "okay". It honestly tastes like a bad home-brew at best. It has no redeeming qualities, honestly, and has an off-putting vibe to it throughout. I couldn't even finish it. I will not seek this one out again, and don't know if I will try anything else from this brewery if they're really putting this on the market.

I've given Legal Draft too many chances. They have the worst IPA I've ever had. This stout is up there too. Has anyone had anything good by them?
