Golden amber color, a tad hazy, with a moderate head. Bright citrus hop aroma. Bitterness is moderately high, with a citrus hop taste, yet there's something a bit off about the flavor, that I can't identify--maybe a tad soapiness? A little thin for the strength as well.

I think I mistakenly bought this in its new can design not realizing I'd had it before, and didn't like. It's one of the weakest offerings from Legal Draft.

a decent can of ipa here, we picked up a sixer when we arrived in texas last weekend and have been working through it all week. its nobodys first pull from the fridge, but when you get one you drink it and enjoy it just fine. it has a weird belgian element to it that has thrown me off every time, it says nothing about that on the can, but the yeast character here really impacts the beer, hopefully intentional, i couldnt imagine if this wasnt flavorful on purpose and it just ended up this way. the hops are fine, generic citrusy and then quite bitter, especially as the beer warms up. pale malt seems like about all, its simple, medium bodied, and relatively clean after some slight middle sweetness. aroma of grapefruit and bubblegum come out, lots of ester character here, very belgian to me, more and more in the finish, almost even in front of the hops. unexpected, but i dont dislike it. good balance between all the elements in flavor and in feel, and it has great carbonation so it drinks easy and even refreshing when its cold. good not great. not sure if this is a rotating series or always the same beer, either way, its my first from these guys.

Pours a cloudy golden color. Head is thick, white with excellent retention. Bubbles cascading look inviting.
Nose has some floral and citrus hops going on. A nice grain quality pushes through as well.
The taste is tropical. Pineapple, orange, lemon with a bitter twist. Pretty straight forward.
The mouthfeel is light and somewhat soft. The carbonation is lifting and refreshing.

Your standard IPA. Nothing to write home about but delicious none the less.

12 fl oz can ran me $1.99 USD at a Total Wine & More in Austin, TX.

Citrusy hop flavours are balanced by pale malt sweetness to good effect. A well built SMaSH IPA with a soft smooth feel but limited depth of flavour.

About as good as these SMaSH gimmick IPAs typically get, but not a world class IPA.

IPA night! Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Cloudy yellow with a nice white head and good lacing. Sweet and fruit smell. I like the taste. Nice mix of sweetness, citrus and pine. Good IPA.

Pours a straw color with an ample head. A fair bit of lacing. Lots of citrus in the aroma and first tastes. Sweet malty taste with not very much bitterness from the Citra hops. Very nice. My first Smash IPA.

Pours a cloudy amber color with a very thick foamy head. Head retention and lacing are both excellent. Big citrus aroma, maybe tangerine. Slight resin in the background. I do like the taste. Nice and juicy citrus (tangerine?). Good piney hope, followed by more citrus. Mild astringency. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Good offering.
