A: 3 finger sea foam head, more than moderate rising carbonation, slightly dull gold.
S: Hay hops, unsweet honey if there was such a thing, fresh, balanced and wholesome.the alcohol has a rubbing alcohol sort of quality but is mostly missed.
T: Slightly tart hops, honey, mild yet flavorful, excellent balance. One of the better "standard" märzen's i've had, although this is perhaps too low in alcohol to be considered standard.
M: Soft and smooth but very uncarbonated.
O: Excellent märzen. Easy to drink, nothing offensive, fresh and well balanced.

A clear, golden, copper beer with a thick creamy head.

Smell is malty with some straw notes, some dextrinous notes and a little sweet. A clean yeast profile, pilsner style.

Taste is malty and bitter, light dextrine and biscuit taste. Body is medium. A nice hoppy taste, dominated by spicy German hops, especially in the aftertaste hoppiness is aromatic. I am not sure if I can taste hopextracts lately, but this beer seems to have a typical superaromatic, slightly artificial hoppiness, that I associate with it. A good beer, although I find this beer style to taste much like a pilsner and as a style to be too indifferent.

The aroma is not distinctly malty at first, more Play-doh and grain. It's very lightly sweet and fruity. Some graham cracker becomes subtly perceptible over time. The body is medium gold and crystal clear with a white head. The flavor is a good deal maltier than the aroma led me to expect. Still quite light and crisp with some tartness and bitterness. Nice grainy sweetness in the finish.

Adequately flavorful but a bit too light and sour for my taste.

Crystal clear pale golden color, with a nice carbonation and a fomay head. The smell is grainy with raw bread dough. The taste shows a veil of citrus and some grain. Refreshing but with some complexity too. The mouthfeel is light but enjoyable. A earthy raw hoppiness on the end.

Sunflower yellow with a loose craggy white head. Fresh grain and cut hay nose with a bit of flower. Country biscuit malts with a bit of pear and snappy grassy hops. Mango juice flash to finish and tingly, numbing linger. Light to medium, crisp, some chew.

Big hoppy lager - nothing more, nothing less. I won't chase it again, but I won't say no either. Does what it should without much fuss.

Beer bottle (33cl.), tasted in 2008.

Appearance : clear yellow color, with a white foam head (lacing).
Smell : malts and hops aromas.
Taste and mouthfeel : sweet and malty. Hoppy finish.
Drinkability : a good beer in the German style Marzen/Oktoberfest

Picked up in a Spät-Kauf (lit. late-buy) bodega in Berlin.

Poured golden, darker than a pils, but not amber. Produced a lot of foam, but subsided to a small head that stuck around nicely. Nose of medium malts; imagine a rich lager smell.

Flavor was richer than I expected. Strong malts and surprisingly bitter as well. Really like a stronger, maltier lager/pils style. But after that there wasn't much more to the brew. Definitely a pretty good beer, but not one I'd earnestly seek out.
