This place is fun, don't expect a seat if you are there past 9:30ish on a Friday or Saturday. It gets extremely packed, they will have a band playing, but that is just background b/c there is plenty of talking going on w/ all the bodies. If you go during the summer in the day it will be fairly dead, thats the time to try the food and drinks. I recommend the spinach dip, it comes in a bread bowl w/ cheese bread to put it on. I have been getting it for years and have driven quite a distance just to get it on occassion. The owner and the majority of the employees are Irish. Theres plenty of alcohol, from liquor to beer (large selection on tap), have no fear!!

I had a $25 bar tab but when I checked my bank account I found out that I had actually been charged $75. The bartender took it upon himself to add a pretty hefty tip. What makes a bar is the people who work there, and liars and thief's do not make for a good bar...

Average bar, kind of on the dive side, with average selection, service, and food. Worth a go, and can be a really good time, which adds to a good vibe rating.

So many beers on tap that it's like Baskin Robbins for beer.

It is a Bars Bar. Solid joint. Good beer. Always get excellent service. Great beach beer joint.

It is what it is. A hangout. A joint. A hole in the wall. Where you want to go after work, after play.

Get the Scotch Egg and a Guiness... ohhh yeah not living till you've had and egg wrapped up in a piggies best parts.

Went here with a couple work buddies for a few pints after earning a day's wages. We went at night so the fact that this place is an Irish Pub means nothing except for the decor, it's pretty much just a popular hangout at night on the weekends. The beer selection is decent, nothing to knock your socks off but there are plenty of well represented styles and lots of locals. Can't really comment on the food or staff because we just got drinks and hung out. If you're in the area and want some atmosphere I'd recommend this place for sure.

I like Irish places, but my wife hates them so it's rare for me to get to try one, especially when we're on vacation. We'd actually been successful with the Irish stuff a couple times before so my wife was ok with trying this place.

Unfortunately, it pales in comparison to the other places and my wife noted quickly that this was our first and last time to visit here.

The atmosphere is somewhat like I'd expect from an Irish pub, but like I mentioned, doesn't compare to the other places we've been. There wasn't much good about the place other than the price. The selection of beer wasn't that impressive, the food was mediocre at best and the service non-existent until it was time for the check.

The price was good, but everything else sucked.

WE visited on a slow lunch day, one of the few places open on the beach during the day anymore, which is sad. Going early you miss the music and the kids and hipsters etc. Still it can be smokey in there at times.

The food was a good as ever, i waited until we had been to this place a few times to review it, as you can visit on a bad day.
WE had the fish and chips, but most of the other limited food selection we have had in the past and it too was good.

They have a full bar, and mainly its why I go, is the food and the full bar. Its a beach bar and sadly the beer reflects it, if you want fresh beer buy bmc in the bottles. Now the prices are darn good for the beer, but most of the 30 or so taps seem to be either out half the time or are flat or have dirty lines or all three!

Selection is ok but nothing great, I mean there is some craft on tap, but most is sub par stuff. There are better choices on the beach for beer if you ask me. Seemed what they do have is leaning to the IPA end of things. Go for the music at night and food during the day, but be ready to have sub par beer.

Service was excellent as usual. Atmosphere, well they are remodeling again....lol you better sit away from the smokers if you like to breath clean air.

Quality: The food is great for bar Irish food

Service: solid, everyone is helpful and good hospitality.

Selection: Not a bad selection most of the Irish beers there.

Food: fish and chips is what they specliaze in.

I have been going to this bar for years. They usually have great bands there and this is one of the most popular hangouts in Jacksonville. There not many good places to go in Jacksonville but this is one of the main places to go. There's also a lot fo other bars in the area and is in the heart of the only bar district in jacksonville. again not saying much...

This is a pretty solid, classic Irish Pub. Plenty of atmosphere (dollars stapled to the ceiling and an Irish themed mural on the walls) and you can expect a good crowd any day of the week. They often have live music and they have bar trivia ($75 first prize) twice a week. The food is pretty good too, the fish and chips and the reuben in particular.

The beer unfortunately is the weak point of this bar. I am not really sure it deserves to be listed in the beer bar section of this site. There are quite a few taps but they are poorly used. Aside from the obligatory domestic macros, they waste the rest of their taps of some pretty lackluster imports. Prime examples would be Stella and Carlsberg. Beers like that don't do much for me and I have never really liked Guinness draught, so when I come here for trivia I usually stick with the $2 pint of the night (I should point out that the special is never anything quite as crappy as bud light, it is usually Amstel or Yeungling and once it was Blue Moon Honey Moon).

Food is really good, live music is sometimes great.

There are new beers on tap. Brooklyn brown ale, dog fish ipa 60, Rogue dead guy ale, so there is hope for the beer lover here. Its my favorite at the beach again. Friendly staff and manager.

Thats all said you better be a smoker, its the only thing that keeps me from going there allot more, when it gets past 5pm it starts getting smoky and by 9pm forget about it, if you like to breath air don't go in this place.

note: its not as Irish as Boston or Ireland of course, its a Jax beach pub, but its a damn fine one. edited my harsher review because compared to the rest of the town its a damn fine place. Brix is nice and has allot of hop head brews, but they have no food.

So if you don't smoke go early, and if you do well you will be in love.

Not been back, since they charge for parking across the street.

Thanks to Beerfly, I was able to target Lynch's during my last visit to Jacksonville. I'm glad I did!

The bar is just off the beach and located in an area that seems to have a lot of entertainment options. I'm glad to report that Lynch's is not cheesy like most of its local competition.

The Pub is fairly dark with lots of well worn wood. Plenty of Irish memorabilia, but this stuff seems real, not like a lot of the pseudo stuff the newer chain pubs display.

They have a L shaped bar and quite a few tables. Nice small stage in the center.

32 taps, while most were Euro Lagers or their American cousins, I would say about 8 were of interest to BAs. Two stouts (Guinness & Murphy's) & 2 ciders among the options.

I liked the friendly & efficient staff. No pretence, just good service.

A few to many smokers for my tastes, but it's a pub, so I guess its still expected in some places.

I did not try the food, but the fish and chips looked good. I'll eat here next time I'm in town.

I liked the atmosphere, and would love to be here when the entertainment is going (they had trivia and a DJ the night I was there).

Well worth a stop!

What can I say, 32 beers on tap!! Yahoo!! If you're looking for an authentic Irish pub this is it. Decor and atmosphere fit the bill.

Place was clean, and even though they allow smoking (FL law) I could never smell any smoke, lots of celing fans and air purifiers. Service was with a smile and somewhat prompt.

Beers are mostly imports and all served in pint glasses. All fresh and tasty. I had a couple of yeunglings, a tucher, and a woodchuck. All draft! Food is excellent. You must try the Lynch's burger.

All in all it is a good time. The wife and I have even been in there when they have live music. I highly suggest you check it out.

I have been on several occasions but was waiting until I got back down for a memory refresher to review it.
It is a rather large Irish style pub with two bars split in the middle and a number of booths and tables. Dark wood and typical Irish pub signage etc. It tends to start filling up around 7 or so on the weekends and gets to be standing room only. Irish music is played during the summer .
A good draft selection which seems to rotate. At the time I went the high points were Boddingtons, John Courage, Murphy's stout and Spaten. Our bartender was Irish(as are a some of the others) and we had a great conversation with him.
I had sausage rolls(sausages in pastry not to be confused with the southern version) and my wife had mussels-both of which were very good.
A nice place to go when not so full. Your best choice in Jacksonville for an Irish type pub.
