Thickly hazy golden-yellow brew, some floaties but otherwise attractive. Head production and retention are both quite good.

Amazingly fruity nose - which shouldn't be a surprise with all the added fruit. Pineapple, mango, orange, grapefruit, bright herbs, honey, mint, and cracker.

Thick, creamy, and smooth, with surprising depth and maltiness against the hops and fruit. Strawberry, absent on the nose, is present on the back half. Orange, peach, mango, pineapple, and grapefruit against mint and oregano. Really nice profile, with a surprisingly smooth and thick mouthfeel.

American IIPA brewed with pineapple, mango, peaches, and strawberries. Poured from a can into a MadTree tulip. The pour is hazy and light orange in color with about a finger of fine white head. Average retention, but a spectacular nose. Tons of ripe tropical fruit, including oranges, pineapples, and strawberries.

Medium body with an oily feel and a fruity flavor. Fresh bread up front, then mango, lemon curd, orange zest, fresh peaches, and a little grapefruit pulp. The fruitiness is so prevalant, it almost eliminates the bitterness completely. Moreover, there is plenty of malt to provide sweetness. Finishes sweet and fruity with flavors of mango and pineapple lingering behind. At 8.7% ABV, it's in the right spot. There's not enough alcohol to make the beer taste boozy or overly sweet and medicinal. Overall a fabulous IIPA for those who enjoy citrusy beers with soft bitterness. A little pricey for what you get, but worth seeking out.

Pours a murky orange with a finger of white foam that forms dense and retains well. Aroma is orange, papaya, pineapple, strawberries, mango, and peach that all together form a pretty sugary smell. Biscuit and caramel malts give it a little sweet, nutty, breadness that tames the hops a bit. Flavor profile is mango, peach, strawberry and pineapple forming a tropical slurry. There is a hint of pine and resin syrupy hops, which give it a light bite. Biscuit and bread malts firm up the smoothie-like flavor profile a touch. Mouth feel is grainy, almost like a fine pulp, with a medium-thick consistency. All together, it forms a beer fitting for the label of "Pacific Punch". It's a slurry of tropical fruits with a light hop bite.

Served in a 16oz snifter from a 16oz can.

I love a good DIPA especially when it’s hazy. So freaking good! Don’t let the array of fruits in this scare you the way your estranged aunts fruit cake does, this is exceptional! Cheers.

16 oz can poured into a Pilsner glass.

Appearance
Hazed-out cloudy, blonde. Creamy white head.

Nose
Dank, mango, peach, passion fruit, milk, pine, oats, and honey.

Taste
Dank, overripe mango, and peach pulp. Light passion fruit and pine sap. Milk, honey, and oats. Touches of grapefruit zest.

Mouthfeel
Full bodied, creamy, smooth, juicy, and lightly bitter.

Overall
Sweet and fruity. Not as hop forward as the other Decadent Ales that I've had, but it also wasn't the freshest.

From the bottom of the can: DEC-PP 2-18 09/14/18 3259"

Appearance: The beer has an opaque golden yellow body with a very large, thick, white head. It has very good retention.

Aroma: The aroma for this beer can be smelled at a distance from the glass. Closer inspection reveals a lot of pineapple, some tangerine, and some mango.

Taste: The beer tastes a bit like mango and tangerine mixed together.

Mouthfeel: It is thick and smooth with low bitterness.

Overall: The can states that this is a "Double India Pale Ale with pineapple, mango, peach, and strawberry added." The mango and pineapple definitely come through. It smells and tastes a lot like a fruit cup. The strawberry doesn't come through at all and the peach isn't showing up unless it might come across as some other flavor. The beer takes the approach of a New England Double IPA and it does a good job of it. The fruit really does show up but what is odd is that there are many beers on the market that taste just like this and don't use fruit at all. Although the beer is very good and I would recommend giving it a try, it isn't one I would likely buy more than one or two of.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had a dark orange color and an incredibly cloudy texture. There was a quarter inch of foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Excellent lacing.

S: A sweet and alluring aroma of tropical fruit, hops, citrus fruit, malt, and peaches.

T: Tasted of a moderate amount of hops (less than expected), lots of tropical fruit (mango), light malt (not overly present), a bit of peaches, and some citrus fruit (lemon). This is a much more subtle flavor than II expected. It's hops presence isn't overdone, but the fruit slowly emerges the more you drink. Very tasty.

F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth and creamy finish. Medium-bodied.

O: An incredibly enjoyable NE IPA. Definitely drinkable.

Pineapple, mango, peaches, strawberry... Oh my! The brewing team at Decadent Ales are single handedly keeping the fruit market afloat by adding generous fruit flavors to an imperial IPA for that dedicated smoothie character.

Pacific Punch certainly packs a punch of fruit aromas as the melody of tropical, orchard and citrus swirl about the nose. A deep haze of amber and gold catch the eye along with a long lasting foamy creme that floats the ale. Sweet on the tongue, its the caramelized malts that stand out first with a toasted honey, nutty and overall grilled poundcake taste and weight.

But the stars of the show are the fruits and they rise to the occasion as the ale rolls onto the middle palate. A retreat of sweetness allows the hops to grow along with the fruit additions with the overwhelming character of peach, mango, papaya, apricot, pineapple and cantaloup. A secondary flavor of citrus relies on orange and red grapefruit with a subtle splash of lemon. Red berries trail with a candied succulence that plays opposite to the herbal bitterness of chive, fresh grass clippings and black tea.

Medium full on the palate, the lush ale carries a slight hoppy tilt into a medium length aftertaste of mulled fruit peels and rinds along with a botanical gin-like spice for extra measure.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 9/14/2018. Pours very hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a small cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lightly tart/tangy peach, pineapple, mango, strawberry, mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, lime, pear, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruit, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lightly tart/tangy peach, pineapple, mango, strawberry, mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, lime, pear, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of peach, pineapple, mango, strawberry, mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, lime, pear, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruit, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and fruit tartness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy/acidic mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.7%. Overall this is an awesome fruited NEIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruit, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Nice soft feel, not aggressive. Might be Galaxy/Motueka as noted of south pacific hops. Very juicy hops/fruit with some dank/earthy notes; great wheat/oat/malt balance. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected. Perfectly balanced hop/fruit complexities.
