a blonde with a little more flavor and character than a lot of these have, i am enjoying it pretty well, even if it tastes like its not quite fully fresh. its a well made beer, a little more sturdy than many in its field too. not quite clear but bright in the glass, a shade darker than what i would call blonde, almost a brassy look to it, with a nice airy white head constantly replenished by rising carbonation. it smells like there is a slight yeast element to it, perhaps trace oxidation, but both seem to work when i taste it, pale and dry cereal malts, minerals and a crispness like a lager almost, and just a bit of bittering hops to help in finish, balanced and flavorful. i do get a slightly biscuity yeast element, almost faintly english, and a mild almost french saison ester to it as well, could be a product of age or something, but i think it actually contributes something cool to the overall complexion. awesome carbonation and clean to finish, overall a cool and drinkable beer with a little something going on. i will look for more beer from wild acre while i am in texas later this month! i will try this fresher down there if i can find it...

12 oz can, New Belgium glass, canned on 5/11/18.

I guess it’s blonde, more of a carrot top if you ask me, and plenty hazy. On top is the typical off white head.

Musky of jasmine, fresh cut grass, oats, and lemon grass.

Expanding on the surprisingly enticing nose are more subtle, but delicious hop flavors; spicy, pungent grass and more jasmine.

It’s quite full bodied and soft, this is a surprising blonde ale.

I often, nay always, dismiss blonde ales because it’s rare there aren’t other, more flavorful options. It isn’t even malt centric, but just overall subtly complex.
