Tastes like if pineapple grew on pine trees. Soft mouth feel makes this Ipa easy to enjoy over and over again. Take pause and appreciate the flavor transition as it moves from one side of the hop spectrum to the other.

really tasty hazy ipa here, my first from these guys, seems like everyone in this part of the world is making these now, but this one is well ahead of the curve, a nice introduction to the brewery for me. its real hazy and dense from the tap, almost to the unappealing level, but its saved visually by a tall inch of white cream head that gives it some life and some contrast, still a heavy looking beer. aroma and flavor are awesome though, huge lemongrass, pineapple, and ripe melon character to it, juicy and fresh, slightly weedy in a good way, a bit of northwestern woodsy pine as well, but fruit forward for sure, some soupy porridge grain weight, but at least it isnt sweet. lots of ripe fruit in the taste, some spruce character too, even gin-esque, but no bitterness at all, just a little greenness and bite at the end, slightly overdone but not sloppy. meyer lemon and tangerine and kiwi pop in here, the hop profile is fantastic and it really makes this one. i wish the grain was lightened and cleaned up a tad, even with the low alcohol this isnt all that drinkable, still some heft to it, but its on the dry side which is necessary. overall i think the beer could be objectively better from a quality standpoint, but they got the hops right, and thats what counts in these hazy ones. ill look for more beers from these guys next time i am back east.
