12oz brown bottle with no freshness date.

Bright pale copper hue, two fingers of head that are slow to dissipate. Fresh citrus zest from the hops in the nose, some mild tropical fruit and bread as well. Semi-chewy body with some cracker-like maltiness, slow trickle of citric hop leads to a quicker flow of bitterness, soft rind, and pithy fruitiness. Bitterness comes in pretty strong but the hop flavors sticks.

I dig the use of hops here, certainly good enough to bring back right?

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into IPA glass.

Appearance: Darker than typical copper-amber with large, foamy head.

Smell: Mostly orange, with some caramel and spiciness.

Taste: The hops are dominated by orange, but there are some grapefruit, pine and spicy notes. Caramel and toasted maltiness. Relatively bitter.

Feel: Medium body, moderate carbonation, nice & dry finish.

Overall: This really comes across as an old fashioned, fairly standard IPA. But it is well executed and very fresh, so quite enjoyable even if not unique.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tall Summit pint glass. Bottle says enjoy by 03/22/15.

Appearance: Pours a deep amber orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Big three finger off white head with decent retention.

Smell: A juicy and earthy hop forward aroma with good hints of citrus, pine, and grass. Juicy citrus hops with hints of grapefruit, orange peel, lemon, mango, tangerine, apricot, and melon. Floral, earthy, and herbal hops with some good hints of pine resin, grass, and spice. Backing hints of malt with some caramel, grains, cracker, and yeast. A pretty good hoppy aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a nicely ripe, juicy, and earthy hop forward taste with good notes of citrus fruit, pine, and grass. Upfront citrus hops with notes of grapefruit, mango, orange peel, lemon, apricot, tangerine, and melon. Good mix of earthy and herbal hops with some spicy notes of pine resin along with some grass. Hops are moderately bitter. Solid backing of malt with some notes of grains, cracker, caramel, and yeast. A pretty nice taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Very juicy and fairly oily with a drying finish.

Overall: A pretty good Fresh Hop IPA. Has the big hop flavors you expect with moderate bitterness.

Pours an effervescent amber with 3+ fingers of fluffy cream colored head. Phenominal head retention & lacing

S: Tropical fruits, mangoes & pineapple, they fade once warm

T: Follows the nose, a little dryness & grainyness & a little breadyness up front. Some biscuitty malt as this warms, more pineapple, a little bit of peppery hop as well. Finishes dry, with leafy hops, pineapple & a little breadyness

MF: Medium bodied, light carbonation, good balance

Drinks easy, would buy again if fairly fresh. This is about 55 days old if my math is correct, still in pretty nice shape, but does make wonder what if...
