Appearance: slightly hazy copper color with thin head the stays around. Minimal lacing.
Smell: Subtle clean hops and roasted malts. Not much else.
Taste: laid back hop character. Nutty roasted malt flavors right up front. A little metallic on the finish.
Mouthfeel: thin and dry. carbonation is nice and does a good job of lifting the flavors.
Drinkability: Drinks easy but the finish bothers me a bit. The beer would go down a lot better with a good food pairing.
Misc: A bit lacking in hop character and body for an ESB, however, as an amber ale it will do. Not the top of my list to hunt down again.
