Look: Clear gold with 1-2 fingers of white head, leaving a smidge of lacing Smell: Cereal breadiness and herbal/grassy hops
Taste: Nice slightly tart maltiness to start with. Fades into sort of a stale, lackluster moderately bitter hops finish
Feel: Light, crisp

Overall: The Summit Pilsener strikes a nice malt-hops balance, and the malt character itself is pretty good. Where it goes south is in the uninspired stale hops character. It is well within the "enjoy by" date of 8/16/2015, so it's hard to find it excusable. Still, in the grand scheme of things it is a basically enjoyable pilsner. The main thing Summit has going for it is the price tag, but you can find some great pilsners or light lagers out there for about the same price: Sierra Nevada's Nooner or Summerfest, Anchor's California Lager, Great Lakes' Dortmunder. If it needs to be local, Schell's does a nice robust pilsner, and Bauhaus and Bent Paddle, though slightly more expensive, are great local options.

Sampled this evening on 4/26/15. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a handled-glass "CHEERS-BOSTON" mug.

This 'Czech Pilsener' style brew pours a golden-yellow in color with a good 2-finger foamy white head that settled down to a thin layer after a good 10 mins. Sheets of 'ring-like' lacing was seen when sipped. The aroma is of pale malts, yeast, and a light hint of wheat. The taste pretty much follows the nose. Crisp and clean and is tasty. Goes down easy with no harsh or bitterness for the finish. Medium-bodied with good carbonation. Overall, this is a good brew.

This is a really tasty, all-malt domestic pilsener.

Pours a clear, gold color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Decent retention and slight lacing. Smells of strong pale malt, hint of sweet malt, hint of hop, slight wheat, and slight yeast. Fits the style of a Czech Pilsner. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of pale malt, slight wheat, hint of hop, and a hint of yeast. Overall, decent appearance, good aroma, and decent body.
