A: Poured into my 21st birthday mug, it had a nice 1.5 finger head that slowly dissolved into a paper thin covering of head with nice lacing on the sides of the glass. The beer itself was a translucent deep amber color. Very nice.
S: Got a nice mixture of pine and malted hops. There was a little bit of sweetness mixed in but very piny with some hops thrown in there for kicks.
T: Relatively bitter the whole way through. There is some nice tingly carbonation that combines well with the bite in this beer. It's not too overpowering though and doesn't dominate the whole experience. It finishes with some bitterness sitting on the back of your tongue until the next drink.
M: Had a nice mouthfeel, very prickly with the carbonation, not overly thick or thin.
O: I liked this beer and could see myself going back to it every once in a while. One of my first experiences with a red ale but it has me intrigued and looking to have more. Not the greatest thing I've tried but definitely a very nice beer that should be enjoyed by many.

Rating from notes. Consumed Summer 2012. "A classic US Red Ale with a robust yet balanced hop character (citrusy), nice dryness, and oily-resiny mouthfeel."

Another good beer from this summit variety pack. Faint citrus piney smell. Mouth feel is pretty light for the style. Seems like another easy drinker. Would buy again.

A clear red ale with medium carbonation rising. About a finger of tan foamy head that settles down to a ring and leaves some moderate lacing. The aroma is malty and dank with some pine notes, too. Same goes for the flavor and a bit of citrus in the form of grapefruit. Mouthfeel is medium thick body, full carbonation and dry. Fresh, this is a nice dank single red IPA. Worth a try, very nice price for what you get.
