Pours light yellow with a nice big fluffy white head. Smells simple, a bit bready, and well, boring....

I notice a slight hint of cloves but otherwise the flavor is fairly simple. This may be more flavorful than other Kolsch beers that I've tried... but still not much to brag about.

This beer pours a semi-clear golden color. The head is half an inch in height, and recedes rather quickly into a thin cap of lacing. The aroma is of herbal, spicy hops with an underlying breadiness. It is rather weak though, and I have to try really hard to detect it. The taste is similar to the aroma with a nice balance of bready malt, and spicy, herbal hops. Again, like the aroma, it is weak even for the style. The mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium bodied with lively carbonation, and a smooth texture. Overall, I really don't think highly of this beer. I'm a big fan of the Kolsch style. However, this is a weaker example of the style, I can't see myself drinking again.

poured into a clean pint glass

Appearance: Very light, golden in color lots of carbonation, very small head with good lacing

Smell: Almost no smell, very faint hops with no discernible malt.

Taste: Very light, slight hop but barely noticeable

Mouth feel: Very thin but goes down smooth.

Overall: Slightly above average beer. Goes down really easy. Not much taste however. I assume that this is true to the style after reading the description. This is my first experience with this style.

What a disappointment. Here's why: I LOVE SUMMIT. And having such high expectations led me to expect too much from this incredibly mediocre brew.

Grabbing on of these guys and popping it open, pouring it into my pint glass was a nice experience. Downhill from there.

The smell is fine.

The taste starts off alright, crisp and refreshing. But the aftertaste is like licking a rusty piece of metal. Strong, unpleasant metallic tastes linger still (5 minutes since last sip)

The mouthfeel was ok because it was refreshing, but kind of gross at the same time, much like taking a swim with a bunch of hairy old men.

Overall, it did its job but nothing more. Definitely wont buy again, although I remain a fan of summit's other brews.
