A nice, balanced, easy drinking IPA. Good piney, light citrus with mild to moderate bitterness on the mid-palate and finish. Havent had many IPA from Summit before, but really like what they have done with this one. Priced at $13 for a 12 pack of bottles, a great value also!

Summit Saga
12 0z. brown bottle, code: 40931305"

Appearance:Hazy deep gold body. Full, two-figner thick head of frothy off-white. Excellent head retention and lacing.

Smell: Resinous citrus and piney hops.

Taste: Resinous citrus and piney hops. Sweetish, doughy malt base. Very solidly bitter. In the first few sips the sweetness really comes through, but as the bitterness starts to build on your tongue and at the back of the mouth it becomes much drier. In that regard I think it's really well balanced.

Mouthfeel: Delicately bristling on the tongue. Medium body with a dextrinous side that suggests it's fuller. Surprising head retention for a beer with just a moderate carbonation level.

Overall: A citrus hop lovers dream - that's what this beer is all about. Unfortunately I feel it could be a little bit more complex as it's a bit of a one-trick-pony. Great trick, however!
