look: 3.5 | smell: 3 | taste: 3 | feel: 4 | overall: 3

Poured into a pint glass from a 12oz bottle.

Appearance: Pours a brilliant gold with a thick white head that slowly dissipates. Slightly hazy.

Smell: Earthy hops, not a particular strong aroma.

Taste: Nice balance between hop flavors (pine/earthy & citrus). Malt flavor is exceedingly basic. Has a nice bitterness level throughout.

Mouthfeel: Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel with medium carbonation.

A pretty basic IPA. Its not a bad IPA, just not really worth going out of your way for.

Sampling a bottle (and probably 5 more) with an enjoy by date about 55 days from now.

A: Hazy deep gold. Holding it up to the light I see floaties.

S: Aroma is under exaggerated. There is some piney hop aroma but very little else.

T: First sip wasn't what I expected, so i quickly followed it up with another swig. The malts are simple... probably 100% 2-row. The hops are definitely piney and has a nice smooth, but satisfying bitterness.

M: Creamy low to medium carbonation. Makes it an easy drinker.

O: It's a well executed simple beer. It's weakness is a lack of complexity though.

Poured from an undated bottle. The beer pours an orangish-amber color with a one-finger thick head leaving nice lacing. The smell is citrus forward with a little pine and malt underneath. The taste is a muddled with slight citrus and pine along with a solid malt backbone. The mouthfeel is thick as slightly oily. Overall, this is decent but it lacks a lot of distinct character and flavors I prefer.

Slightly hazy deep gold with a surprisingly tight head. Subtle flower honey on the nose; pretty delicate with a little malt and a little pine. Malt up front on the taste that gives way to sticky resin, brown sugar orange. Initial flavors disappear quickly and leave resin on the back of the tongue. Tight sharp carbonation leads into a slightly coating finish that lingers. A complicated beer that really grows on you and gets better. Thanks Jesse!
