Bottle poured into St. Feuillien tulip

A- Pours a dark copper hue, much darker than I expected from a session IPA, with a finger of off white head that dissipates quickly.

S- Slightly dull hop scent leads with a bit of a malt.

T- Dry, semi hoppy, I would have thought there would have been more of a hop bite as they are coining it as an IPA but really not much going on here.

M- Dry ale, light medium bodied and a little flat. Interesting to say the least because of how fresh this is supposed to be as it was released maybe 2 weeks ago.

O- Meh. I tried Founder's Session IPA yesterday and after a pint of it I wanted more. Unfortunately for Summit, after a pint of this organic ale, I want another pint of the Founders. I come to expect this from Summit now though... Middle of the road beers for middle of the road Minnesotans afraid to try something new. Cheers.

Used to crush these back when I was hanging around in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin. My buddy was more about 'em than I was, but I never turned 'em down. Pours a light copper color, 2/5" white head on the top. Aroma was full of grain but largely devoid of anything but a smattering of bittering hops.

Taste packed a lot of grain flavor into the malt bill. Very slight bitterness, not a lot of hop flavor. Had those fresh barley and cardboard notes. Carbonation is high. A little bit of caramel from the malt. Probably heavier malt wise than just about any other 4.5% "ipa" I can think of. This is like total opposite beer compared to like an alpha hop. But it is prolly decent for someone who just wants an easy to drink beer.

12oz bottle, coppery-amber body with a thinner bubbly, ivory head that fades fairly quickly leaving some lacing down the glass. Aromas are sweeter with caramel, bread crust, brown sugar, herbal hop. Tastes are bready malt, caramel, toasted grain, earthy, herbal, with some brown sugary sweetness, pungent grapefruit pith for bitterness. Medium body, lower carbonation. Overall, I wasn't crazy over it at first, but it grew on me. The lower ABV makes it sessionable, and with it being organic makes me feel like I should do some gardening while drinking some of these. I do have some organic hop rhizomes to plant very soon...
