Peach Double IPA
Cream Puff War is brewed with honey malt and lactose, fermented with peach puree and double dry-hopped to create a deliciously unique, smooth, and balanced ale. We set out to emulate the popular milkshake IPAs of our time and quickly veered off course to artfully merge sweet and hoppy.

Delicious IPA. Enjoy the peachiness and smooth texture. No IPA bite!

16oz can from Castle Liquors. Bright, hazy, orange golden pour, small foamy head. Aroma is sweet and fruity, peaches. Taste comes in creamy, stone fruity, thick, hefty. Nice all around.

Cloudy orange-amber color. Moderate, dense head that recedes slowly to a thin layer of bubbles on the surface. Good, slightly chunky, rings after each sip.
Pine resin aroma to start. There's a sweet, pit fruit smell that I wouldn't necessarily identify as peach. Not very sugary or candy-like, probably closer to the tropical fruit tasting IPAs than anything else.
Pale malt beginning with a quick overlay of white-pepper, bittering hops. The body is neutral with carbonation that isn't apparent until nearly the swallow. The surprise with this beer, though, comes from the finish where a creamsicle (peach?) flavor takes over. The aftertaste is bittersweet.

Man. This is smooth. Haven’t had something this creamy and tasty since my last batch of Treehouse ran out last week. Gonna put this in rotation! I’m lovin’ this. Peach is subtlety apparently in both aroma and taste. Nice sediment floating in bottom of my Tree House tulip glass.

Not what I expected. Thought it would be a strong very sweet DIPA but was far from overwhelming at all. A much more basic IPA. Surprised it was a DIPA. Nothing memorable.

Surprising in that I generally scoff at fruited IPAs but the peach is subtle enough to let the hops shine but present enough not to be an empty gesture. Ten Bends is killing with both this and the pineapple version of Cream Puff War!

Hazy gold pour, fruity nose, a here and gone head. There is a creamy lactose quality in the mouthfeel. Sweet peachy flavor that was pleasant, not overly sweet. Brew was well-blended and the sturdy 8.2% ABV is well-disguised. Lack of complexity and real flavor depth makes this a good, but not great, effort.

Really weird. I tasted the fruit, but I couldn't say it was peachy or creamy. A little artificial tasting. I mean, I could drink it if there wasn't anything else, but, um, otherwise, fuhgeddaboudit.
