A complex malt bill with a platform that allows the pungent hop blend to shine with notes of grapefruit, tropical fruit, pine and resin to truly shine. This is sure to satisfy the thirst of the most aggressive hop heads while maintaining remarkable drinkability.

I got a can of this beer from my bestie from Charlotte, NC whom got it from a beer of the month club pack. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dank stone fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with ripe dank fruit notes. The mouthfeel was fuller in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Tasty beer, no doubt, just not what I expected for a DIPA. Malty first and then the hops kicked in. The ABV is thus difficult to ascertain as the balance is what it is, so be careful polishing off a 6 pack, which I might do with this.
Another fine offering out of Colorado.

Presentation:16 oz. can with the canning date printed on the bottom. Served in a can-shaped pint glass
Appearance: The dense, three finger head stays around for a very long time and leaves behind a lot of patchy lacing. it's a slightly hazy, dark gold color.
Scent: It's quite simple, with a lot of fruity, hop aromas of orange, tangerines and grapefruit.
Taste: There's a lot citrus and tropical fruit flavors at first: Orange, tangerine, grapefruit and pineapple. That's balanced out by sweeter notes of malt and honey. It's still quite bitter though and there's a slight alcoholic sting in the aftertaste along with some pine resin.
Mouthfeel: It's smooth and medium bodied with medium-high carbonation. It finishes dry.
Overall: A typical, high-ish ABV, double IPA that's well balanced and has a good aroma.

16oz can I got for $2. Darker orange than most IPA's these days. Aroma has more than a touch of alcohol, malt. Malty, hoppy flavor with a burn on the end from the alcohol, This is really a throwback DIPA despite the hop bill and a nice change from the haze that has permeated every IPA in the country. However, it is not good enough for me to revisit sadly.
