east coast type pale ale, a really well done beer, they all were in here when we visited. this one looks a little denser than some of the others, surprising at this lower abv, but it has a bit more of an orange color than a yellow one and quite a lot of turbidity under its frothy white head. lots of citrus to this one, and a more familiar profile than some of their others, which featured lesser known new zealand varietals and the like, this is a little more in line with what i have come to expect in the style, a fresh orange and lemon zest thing in the nose with a lightly sweet pineapple or melon fruitiness behind it, still really low bitterness and high drinkability, even with the increased grain character. this is wheaty and maybe oats too, fuller bodied and creamy feeling but still dry at the end, hefty and even autumnal to me, but the hops are so bright and fresh they lighten it all up. overall a really juicy and tasty pale ale, maybe not quite as standout to me as a few of the other hoppy selections they had on, but a darn good beer and way ahead of the curve in the style!

Appearance - pours hazy opaque orange with thin white head that dissipates to a few big bubbles around the glass. Spotty lacing.

Aroma - Earthy hop aroma, grapefruit, mango, and orange slightly bitter aroma.

Taste - Nice bitter citrus peel, hops, grapefruit, pine and orange. Packed some great flavors for a pale ale.

Feel - Medium bodied light soft feel, slightly dry bitter finish.

Overall - Really well done pale ale, great tropical flavors nice hop bite easy drinking.

On tap at Das Biergarten. Hazy orange. Smells floral and fruity, with citrus and garlic hops behind it. Tastes very citrusy. Again has an almost perfumy character. Almost tangy back end with low bitterness. Medium body. It's different. Not sure I love it.
