The beer is from a cold 32 oz crowler that I bought at the brewery today. Im pouring into a stemless wine glass. The beer pours a murky orange color with 1 cm of bleached white dense head foaming up on the pour. Foam fades to a sturdy edge layer and some wispy surface coating.
The aroma is some sweet citrus with orange dominant and a bit of peach and pineapple notes. I also get a bit of general hop grassy or vegetal scent mixed in. Not really and malt profile here and any booze is very well hidden as well. Hop forward nose on this brew as expected.
The first sip reveals an average body with fine tingly carbonation with a smooth texture. Physical traits of this beer make it a drinkable one.
Flavor is also similar to what the nose predicts with some fruity hop character up front with pineapple and orange flavors. I also get a bit of grassy hops that come through towards the end of the beer. Finally, there is a surprising biscuit note on the finish and a bit of pithy hop bite too. The burps are vegetal in quality and not sweet.
No booze shows through on this one and the DIPA is pretty drinkable overall. Glad to have tried this one, but IM more excited about the barrel Aged imp stouts I picked up today as well.

This is an ugly DIPA. Murky gold and orange. Passionfruit and pineapple on the nose. Peach as well. Not as bursting with flavor as I'd have hoped. Some peach, but also some raw hop character. No burn, but that vegetal character isn't exactly pleasant. I did not enjoy this as much as I had hoped.

Appearance - Pours completely orange opaque with huge soapy white head that lasts forever. tons of lacing around the glass.

Aroma - Lots of mango, pineapple, orange, tropical hops and tangerine. Light bitter aroma but mostly ripe tropical fruit.

Taste - Bam great hop flavor up front followed by orange, pineapple and mango. Light bitter taste at the finish but super balanced.

Feel - Full creamy soft feel with a slightly dry finish.

Overall - An excellent DIPA of the NE style, perfect flavors and feel lots of tropical fruit balanced with bitterness.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Charles Towne Fermentory, poured into a long stemmed glass. Had a bright yellow color and a cloudy texture. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Average lacing.

S: A sweet, light aroma of hops, citrus, tropical fruit, and some malt as well.

T: Tasted of a fair shot of citrus fruit (lemon, orange), a bit of sweet malt (mostly in the finish), lots of hops (not too much, though), a creamy quality, and tropical fruits (papaya, mango). Even though this not quite as aggressive as some other DIPA flavors, it's very sweet, subtle and focused. Quite delicious.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a smooth, creamy finish. Medium-bodied.

O: This is a well made, easy to drink DIPA. Definitely worth a try.
