Visited shortly after open on a Thursday afternoon. Crowd was thin, maybe four other patrons. Relatively small, dark and dingy taproom on a faded commercial strip on the way out of town(e). Pours were available in 5oz, 10oz and full-size, all served in proper glassware. Not exactly a broad range of styles but everything I tried was good and the tap-pulling lady was friendly and helpful. I could have spent more time there if circumstances (wife) had permitted.

Pretty small place in a strip mall area parking is tough if the place is very busy. Great draft list broad selection of IPAs, pales and stouts. Their beers are really well done did not have one I thought was subpar. No food but we did order out and have it delivered and ate at the bar. Super friendly staff and a spacious place.

Visited the brewery on a recent visit to Charleston. Lucky enough to have timed our visit to an imperial stout bottle release weekend!
The brewery is easy to find and is on a main drag connecting West Ashley area to Downtown Charleston. Parking is basically on street and my aunt tells me it can be difficult to find spots on some evenings.
Walking into the brewery from the street there is a large rectangular bar immediately to the front and right of the building. The space is wide open and features lots of raw wood. there are about 18 chairs at the bar and then there are lots of table chair setups spaced around the room. there were 6 or 7 drafts available and 32 oz crowlers for each were also an option. they had two different imperial stout bottles and also 16 oz cans of an IPA are also in a small cooler at the bar. There is also quite a bit of clothing an paraphenalia available for sale. Bartender was very friendly and offered her guidance on which beer to crowler based on some beer qualities.
the beers trend toward the hops end of the spectrum but it also seems like they rotate quite a few styles through the draft lines. Id really like to hang here for a pint or two sometime, but this was a quick hit, maybe next visit. Also didnt try the food, but seems like that also rotates so could be good if the provider is something you like.
A cool brewery and the beers Ive had are pretty solid. A good spot in Charleston area.

It's a small but friendly place. The beer is outstanding and is the service. We arrived when they opened and didn't get to experience the place "after dark" but it should be hoppin'. The only draw back is size related. They have taps that aren't loaded due to supply constraints due to demand. These guys need to expand - they are world class brewers.

Cool vibe, not a huge list to choose from but everything available is solid. This is billed as the best brewery in the city, and while it lives up to that, I'm more spoiled in RVA

Stopped here on our way from Florida to spending a night in Charleston. It was an early Friday afternoon, so we were able to get a spot at the bar. Service was quick and did a great job explaining their beers along with letting us know about a newly tapped beer not on the menu.
We weren't in there long, but it had a pleasant vibe while we were in there.
We were able to get a street parking spot right in front of the building, but there is no specific lot that I could find at least. It was pouring rain, so I just wanted to get in and have a beer.
Overall a nice place with some great beer!

this place is majorly rad, they are making what in my experience are hands down the best hoppy beers i the area, all new school and new england types, some good brewing pedigree for those that i cant quite recall, and a mellow little space not really any different from anywhere else in terms of a physical space. smallish though, with a bar along one side, an open feel with natural light, seating for maybe 40 or 50 people, and a ton of attention to what matters most, the beer! they had a good selection on, maybe eight or ten beers, most of which are hazy ipas and pales. the bessie with lactose and spelt blew my mind, but all of them were on a much higher level than almost anything out there and frankly rival the famous ones from VT and MA as far as i am concerned. i also really liked the sungazer, the mars express, and the pineapple one, so refined and drinkable and juicy on the hops. not a ton of diversity on the menu, they seem to do basically just these, but they sure are killing it. i could not believe how good they all were! nice dudes behind the bar too, friendly and welcoming and not pretentious. they have a little mexican kitchen attached to the place and we had a tasty quesadilla, good beer food. overall the beer here was elite level, the place is relaxed and mellow to hang out at, and i will be back for sure! still frothing for more of that bessie!

Beer is spot on delicious, very knowledgeable bar staff and approachable brewers. Rotating kitchen which is always very good. Only set back would be parking but that to be resolved by city parking garage in the near future. Probably one of the top 3 breweries in the state if not the best.

I think these guys are doing some fun stuff. I like their beers, although a lot of them of very similar. I think the brewery is comfortable and I like going there. Staff is nice.

V: A nice little spot, unpretentious and likable. It's not exactly huge, but they make the most of the space. It has a medium-sized bar, with several tables scattered throughout the floor, and a kitchen in the corner. Pretty nice, in an understated way.
Q: Of course, everything is made on premises, so it's definitely fresh. Nothing stale here.
S: A decent selection - all house beers - on-tap and in growlers and crowlers. They only have eight beers (an IPA, a DIPA, a zwickelbier, a Baltic porter, etc.), but it's a solid array of stuff. One odd thing: They only had one beer (a dry stout) available in crowlers. Could have used more, but this is a minor quibble.

Spent an hour or so here on a Sunday night. Bartenders were friendly and helpful. A couple of groups were playing games, all in all a great vibe, great beer, and if I lived in Charleston I'd drink Sungazer all the time.
