Can that says best by 3/18. Pours hazy yellow/orange with a white head that leaves some lacing behind. The smell is citrus, biscuit and cracker malt, pine, and light dank. Taste is citrus forward follwed by dank and light malts finishing with pine. Feel is medium to light, kinda soft with light bitterness. Overall I really enjoyed this as my first beer of the day!

Cloudy golden hazy appearance. Nice fluffy head, good retention, nice lacing and cap
Aroma is a bit muted but hints of pine, citrus, crackers , malt, caramel and earthy notes
Taste is grapefruit, crackers, earthy, caramel notes and malty Good mix of sweet and bitter
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly sticky. Medium to high carbonation stickyness leads to slightly dry finish. Kind of soft mouthfeel
Overall it’s a pleasant drinking IPA, nice layers and a nice feel to it. Not a bad balance of flavors. Sweet caramel to a medium dry finish.

A; dark copper color with some burnt yellow notes

S: sweet grains and oranges. Some spice I can’t put my finger on. Pineapple and passionfruit

T: a mix of things. Some bitter pine and sweet orange zest. Guava and sugar. Bread crust and sweet grains

M: medium mouthfeel with medium carbonation

O: there’s something going on here that I can’t quite put my finger on. Grainy with some bitterness and sweetness. Ok but nothing to write home about

Hazy light gold color. Moderate head which leaves minor streaks and spots on the glass.

Light caramel nose with a decent fresh hop floral aroma.

The pale malt beginning is brief but stays in the background throughout the tasting. The hop bites into the tongue like overused black pepper. Good body with an elevated carbonation level. Long bitter aftertaste.

From a 16 oz. can with a Best By 10/31/19 date. Sampled on June 28, 2019.

It pours like a NEiPA with its milky, murky looking opaque pale yellow underneath a lasting and lacing white foamy head.

Vibrant aroma of citrus, floral, and fruit such as apple and orange blossoms as well as those fruity characters. It has a more mellow white bread under belly.

Medium or better body.

The fruitiness and the sweetness lead the tasting experience with the floral characters coming up behind. A moderate bitter and fruity ending.

Very good Pale Ale in the cloudy New England style. Gentle but floral hop aroma with a citrus character on first gulp. Then the malt and gentle bitterness kick in with a slightly piney finish. Very similar to Whaler's RISE but, comparing the two: Hops are more fun on Buddha but both are good, malt is more fun on RISE, color is better on RISE, Buddha has a longer and more interesting finish which makes it take longer to drink, where RISE wants you to have another!! If you would have been just as happy with a juicy IPA (think Grotto), Buddha is the one for you. If you wanted a lager but they didn't have a good one, RISE is the better choice.

Can best by 12/7/18

Pours a faint, foggy gold with a finger of white head; solid retention and soapy lacing around the glass.

Aroma of sturdy cracker malt matched by bitter grapefruit pith, under-ripened oranges, and sweet, earthy pine; relatively straightforward and enjoyable.

Taste of blood orange peel, rye bread crust, cracker malt, floral tones, and soft grapefruit; clean, perhaps a bit too delicate, but decent and very well-balanced.

Mouthfeel is on the lighter-bodied side and possesses a well-maintained carbonation; crisp, dry throughout and on the finish; great mouthfeel for a sessionable pale ale.

Solid session pale here. Clean, very easy-drinking, and effortlessly satisfying take on the style despite its occasional shortcomings in the flavor profile.

Appearance – Thin layer of head on a slightly hazy yellow body.

Aroma – Citrus hops, bubblegum, and a little floral. Interesting combination.

Taste – Pine, a bit resinous, with some fruity/floral notes coming in at the end. Pretty bitter.

Mouthfeel – A bit sticky but that’s OK with this one.

Overall – Almost on the level of an IPA but held back just enough. Very good.
