Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Smell has citrus ,grapefruit pine and baked bread. Taste follows nose with a grapefruit rind taste finishes with caramel baked bread. Mouth feel had a bitter fruity feel with no real hop profile.

Look: orange, hazy, small head, little lacing. Aroma: old grapefruit, oranges. Taste: much the same. Lots of rotting tropical fruits. Mouthfeel: medium bodied, low carbonation. Comments: it reminds me of a subpar IPA from the mid 2000's. There is no nostalgia in that thought.

Pours a semi hazy golden color. The head is 1 finger, white, frothy, with decent retention. Some lacing on the glass.
The nose is light with hops. I do get some pine and some citrus.
Taste - There's some pine in the flavor, it is a bit muted. Some weird flavors come in that I really can't describe. Another reviewer said cabbage and cardboard. That might be a bit harsh, but it isn't the best.
Feel is really lighter, and maybe a bit watery.
Not the best IPA. There's some issues with it, after such a strong start.

Poured from 16oz can into glass. There is a stamped date on the bottom of the can but the stamping is not centered, and thus unreadable, but looks like a date in 2018.
Clear, gold colored body. Minimal white head settles to islands and ring. Some spotted patterns of lacing are left behind.
Aroma is vegetal hops and slightly sweet malt. Kind of like silage.
Taste has lots of wet cardboard and cabbage.
Thin to medium mouth feel. Minimal carbonation.
I drank enough to get information for a review, but most of the beer was drain poured. This is the first Bald Man beer I have tried so I have no reference of brewery performance, but this beer should not have been canned, if it presents from what this can poured.

Poured out a clear, golden yellow color with a small, thin head of foam. It smelled of citrus, pine and toasted caramel. Sweet citrus and caramel flavors with a piney bitterness.

Poured from growler bottled on 10/17 purchased 10/20

L - ochre colored with about 1 finger of head that faded quickly to a slight ring with a little lacing.

S - not much smell at all actually, malts, hops...nothing to speak of

T - better than the smell, bitterness of the hop but no floral, citrus, pine flavors overwhelming any flavor profile.

F - feels like it wants to be a beer, just not quite there

O - overall I actually like the beer, went back and lowered some scores while writing this. It is not a bad beer, maybe a beer to try when 1st venturing to ipas .

L-Somewhat hazed light orange/tan color....minimal head....

S-Toffee, caramel maltiness.....light citrus and pine come through as well.

T-Balanced....nice caramel bread like malt combined with a floral hop impression....notes of pine...some mandarin orange notes...approachable IPA without a huge assertive flavor profile but an enjoyable one.

F-Medium bodied...lower carbonation...a little sharp on the finish..

O-Much prefer this can to the one I had at the brewhouse. I thought that was below average. This is better...call it ok but certainly not a great iPA. I consider 2.5 to be an average beer by my scoring so this comes out slightly above average.

a fresh and tasty beer, but not nearly as compelling as their calibration day session ipa. this has a bigger, almost clumsier grain base, and the hops seem muddled, like there are a whole lot more varietals in here that sort of round each other out a little too much for this to be unique. that said though, its a mighty drinkable ipa, moderate on the bitterness and still very much on the dry side, i just dont think it pops the way the session does. id love to know what varietals they use here, but to me, behind a little grapefruit blast, its pretty earthy and grassy, almost more of an old world thing. could have something to do with the timings and the blend, but this has that bitter almost dried out straw hop flavor to it right in the middle, backed up nicely though by some zesty orange note for a quick flash before the bitter finish. more body than the session, but not heavy, just kind of a lot of one thing, it does not benefit any from the extra body, alcohol, or grain flavor i dont think. its hard to be impartial here, its good ipa, but the session was just so bold and different, i much prefered it, maybe i should have had this one first. freshness is through the roof, and that always helps.
