12oz bottle. Served in a pint glass.

Pours a light golden yellow body, clear with plenty of effervescence, one finger white head, thick retention, lots of lacing. A well-endowed lager. Smells of biscuit, cracker, wheat, light caramel, noble hops. It's a fairly standard lager aroma. Bready. Hefty grassiness also. Flavour is a bit of an improvement on the balance; fair bit of grassy bitterness at the end, but bready and biscuity up front. As with some of the other German versions of Oktoberfests, I find the American versions to be sweeter and more caramel-forward, so this is a nice change of pace. It's more of a true lager. Mouthfeel is lighter-medium bodied, eminently drinkable in larger quantities. Good grassy bitterness on the backend.

0.5 liter brown glass bottle into a mug. Slightly darker than other pale munich oktoberfest beers.
Aroma is similar to their classic helles, but with more sweetness and toast, and a little alcohol.
The taste follows the aroma as a toasty helles lager and has a pronounced bitterness in the finish. Some alcohol notes too.
A lighter body than most munich oktoberfest beers, with a stronger alcohol presence, but this one is eminently drinkable.

poured out of an 11.2 oz. bottle into one of my pint glasses, this beer pours a very clear medium golden color with several streams of little air bubbles continuously and fairly rapidly rising to the beer's surface. has a white head that's initially an inch thick when first poured that settles to a solid 1/5 of an inch thick with good retention and decent lacing. Aromas of some lightly toasted, bready, caramel malt sweetness that give way to a slight hop aroma. The taste is pretty much the same, with some lightly toasted, bready, caramel malt sweetness that is followed with a slight bit of hop bitterness. The flavor profile isn't quite what I am used to on an Oktoberfest style beer, but this is really refreshing. Has a crisp, yet also smooth and slightly creamy/frothy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. An interesting take on this style.

Clear, pale straw color, highly effervescent, with a huge foamy white head that lasts a good while before leaving heavy lacing. Smells like a slightly-more-bready-than-usual Heineken. There's some dry, bready malts behind a slight skunkiness. The taste is nothing like the aroma suggested. It's got a nice, soft, white bread thing going, and a relatively thick, chewy mouthfeel -- especially for something so damn light looking. Very easy drinking. Not what I normally expect for the style, but pretty tasty.

Much lighter than many other marzens, both in color and in feel. Clear and golden, very carbonated. Smells very grainy and slightly of alcohol. Tastes very crisp, again with a bit of an alcoholic bite, which surprised me. That being said, it is exceedingly "clean" tasting, as others said it is like a very good example of a euro pale lager. Feels fairly light as I said, I could drink several of these without filling up too much. Overall I think it's not what I expected for the style, but still really good.

Pours a golden-yellow with medium-high carbonation. Not much aroma, just a litttle sulfury lager yeast thing going on. Taste is of cracker tasting malt, some hops in the background. Maybe a hint of skunkiness. A little lacking in malt from what I'd expect for the style but not unenjoyable. Kinda like a heavier pilsner with less maltiness.
