look: 4.5 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Poured from an 11.2 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass, there is no "best by" date that I can find.

APPEARANCE: pours a cloudy, straw color with two-finger, white head that slowly dissipated until a thin, unbroken layer of small bubbles remained, there is significant lacing on the glass, medium carbonation.

SMELL: sweet honey, bread and banana, there is a slight musty, euro skunk smell.

TASTE: the taste follows the nose, initially sweet honey and bread then banana.

PALATE: medium body and velvety smooth.

OVERALL: this is a superior Hefe Weizen, I would buy this again no problem and would recommend to anyone who enjoys this style as much as I do.

Poured from fridge temp. Pours a golden yellow with very little transparency. Good carbonation - about an inch of head. Smell is really nice - orange peel, sweet, refreshing, earthy. Taste isn't as nice as the nose - flavors a bit muted. I was expecting more after the nice nose. Taste is orange peel, wheat, a bit bready, lemon. Not bitter. Mouthfeel is good. Overall, nice reflection of the style. Not my favorite, but really good.

12 ounce bottle poured into a glass

A: Pours a dark straw color with a bright white full creamy head, lots of head retention and carbonation, beer is cloudy.

A: Lots of aromas, banana, spice, light clove, lots of sweet malts, smells very good.

T: The aroma did not transfer to the taste, same notes of banana, light spice and clove, lots of yeast and malt, picking up a little off flavor like a children's vitamin, aftertaste has banana and a light spice note.

M: Light bodied with lots of carbonation, creamy smooth mouthfeel, very light on the palate, easy to drink.

O: Besides the slight off flavor that I picked up, this is a refreshing easy to drink beer, there's no bottle date that is easily identifiable but I'd picked this up again if I knew how fresh it is.

Nice, cloudy pale copper color when poured, with a full, cereal aroma lending to the wheat of the beer. Great, clean, buttery flavor, clearly superior, with little distracting aftertaste. Smooth in the mouth, goes down nicely. A superior hefeweizen. I will be getting this again.

I bought a six pack in bottles. The bottles were 11.2 fluid ounces with the bottle number of L 175 P 12:42. I could not find an expiration date. It was refrigerated and poured into a pint shaped glass.

Appearance: golden and cloudy. The beer looked lively and the carbon bubbles still rapidly ascend as I write this. Not much of a head as I poured it with the glass tilted.

Smell: nutty and floral

Taste: well carbonated with a smoky feel. The beer goes down dry as I didn't get much of an aftertaste

Mouth Feel: crisp and oily

Overall: I enjoyed the beer as it wasn't heavy and sweet. Hofcrau Munchen brand seems universally well enjoyed. I've tried their October Fest and it was delicious. I can get this brand regularly at my local beverage store. Easily a beer you can bring to a gathering. Beer Advocate's description stated the ABV as 5.4% but on the bottle it reads 5.1%.

Served from bottle to glass at the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth, MI. Perfect atmosphere for an HB. Golden color with a finger of small, even sized bubbles. Beautiful wheat aroma, banana and bread. Taste follows, some clove and sweet honey-like notes. Smooth, silky feel and clean finish.

Cloudy amber with lots of white head. Smells of olives and lemons with a bit of a musty/bread scent in the backdrop. Clean, lemony flavor with a bit of a crust flavor in the malts. Solid medium body. All around, a well-rounded and enjoyable beer.
