This 330ml brown bottle comes with a stronger alc. strength at 8.5%abv., BB 10/01/09, served chilled in Hapkin's tulip-shaped bowl sniffer.

A: pours an orangey golden hue with abundant but steady streams of small fizz almost like a champagne, topped with a thick and tight off-white froth that retains the thickness with grace, leaving tight lacing all round. Very elegant looking.
S: perfumy exotic fruits and candy-sugar come 50-50, plus pilsmalts, Goldings hops, dry-ish lemon zests, and light estery notes like Chinese green-bean-paste. Moderate and pleasant, with but a hint of alc. overall.
T: the effervescent foretaste comes slightly alcoholic-warming and lightly tart, but backed by oily-textured light-flavoured maltiness, faintly stinky yeasty flavour (like overripe fruits + oxidised honey), and an overwhelmingly dry, hoppy palate; only in the aftertaste does the citric fruitiness and sneaks through. Tangy, zesty bitter and lingering in the finish.
M&D: coming with a medium body, well-hidden alc., and soothing streams of microscopic fizz to render a refreshing mouthfeel, this Tripel is a clean, semi-dry, focused-themed Tripel, with an integrated (rather than complex) flavour profile but by all means enjoyable and easy to drink.

A: orange-blond colour, nice white head, loads of carbonation

S: peach, some citrus, and a hint of floral hops

T: a lot of hops, bitter and sweet at the same time but not in a good way. Sticky and a bit medicinal.

M: carbonation too thin, sticky and dry.

O: A lot of promise in look and taste, but doesn't deliver

Flierefluiter (I guess something like a bon vivant). 33 cl chubby bottle, like many of the belgians (f.i. Duvel).

Looks orange golden, good carbonation, off white head thats sticks around long enough.

Smell is very distinct. Floral and fruity. It's almost like sticking your nose in the garden. Herbs.
Taste is more malty, some spicyness too. More common to the style.
Finish is relatively dry, with only malty sweetness.
Good beer. Allthough I had my doubts about the perfume, the brew is powerfull enough to enjoy.

Picked this up out of interest, never seen it before.
Poured out, beautiful head fills the glass. Light golden body underneath, good carbonation. Really gorgeous head.
After several minutes when the head settles.
Aromatics of floral hops, citrus, candied malt sugar, light alcholic peppers, yeast, spice.pears, fruits come through as well.
Flavor is fruity, nice spicy finish. Lingering tingling from the carbonation and pepper yeast notes. Hint of sweet and also dry on the finish making this more complex than anticipated.
Doesnt quite reach the upper echelons of Westmalle but nonetheless very solid and well rounded.
Drinkablity is good, the 8.5% is not noticed, great refreshing brew .

Sampled botle was best till 050706. Ne Flierfluiter poured in fine making my glass make look good and begging to drink. Nice head together wit the with the beer filled my 58 cl tulipglas complete. Nice golden color; onlything off were the particles that were floating in it despite my carefull pour out. Nose was litle empty for a tripel alcoholic, malty and yeastspice.
Taste was alcoholic, dry and very bitter; longlasting and fine. Like it, great! Further enough malt and lots of carbon dioxe make it more then just enjoyable.

This beer is an attractive light gold triple that comes in a dumpy little bottle just like a duvel. I've never seen any sediment in it, so it might be filtered. There's a golden colour, and the taste is refreshing, effervescent and hoppy. Reccommended.

Since writing the above I have learned that Flierefluiter is brewed under contract, and is not made all the time at any named brewery. So in six months time it could be quite different!

Full golden colour, with copper reflexes, light foam, with few persistance. Floreal smell (violets), with citrus fruits. A lot of hop. Taste is bitter, but fizzy. Notes of citrus fruits. The taste is warm, without the freshness typical of a triple. Good bitter aftertaste.
