This juicy IPA was developed in our “underground” basement brewery. Shh…don’t ask about what was happening in the basement, but the beer flows out of the tap a deep persimmon with fluffy khaki foam. The only dank aroma emanating from this basement is one of earthy tones, juicy citrus and a hint of lemongrass all derived from Citra hops. Basement IPA is balanced with a nice malty body that creates a sweet finish and developed hop notes in every sip. There is a hint of alcohol heat on the way down for this hop forward Northeast style IPA. Beer geeks rejoice but you have to leave your parent’s basement because for now Basement IPA is only at your local establishment.

Pours a fantastic golden color with a lot of long lasting rocky foam. Very dank on the nose with plenty of citrus. Taste is where it excels. Very very dank, tons of pine, but enough malt and sweetness to balance out the heavy bitterness. Overall, much better than I expected for how cheap it was. A very drinkable, well-made IPA, especially for a southern beer.

Light copper colored and lightly hazy. There’s a half inch of dishwater white on top. Heavy, soapy lacing on the glass. The aroma is of grassy German hops. I’m tasting grassy German lemon hops. The mouth is light and crisp.

They changed the recipe in 2023. This beer was my favorite for years. Used to taste similar to focal banger. Now it tastes like hazy little thing....

Appearance: pours a translucent orange color with a thick, sticky bright white foam head. Very sticky lacing.
Aroma: pineapple, mango, orange. Sweet malts in the background. Very nice aroma.
Taste: pineapple and tart citrus fruit. Malt backbone. Tiny bit of pine and grapefruit peel. A fair bit of bitterness that compliments it all.
Overall: This brew made my day a little better. Juicy profile with a fair amount of bitterness.

I've come to the conclusion that I am more a fan of west coast IPAs. This is a good beer, but not for me. Heavy carbonation though, which for me is a plus!
