Appearance: dark brown almost black in color with a 1/2" head that breaks down quickly.

Smell: loads of chocolate and roasted tones are picked up by the nose.

Taste: roasted malt, dark chocolate, prunes, and an earthy bitterness.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp to start, smoother at the finish. Some dryness arrives late.

Overall: a good Irish stout that is well balanced and has a nice flavor profile.

On tap in a pint glass.

Nice looking dark brown brew with a modest dark tan cap. Evident carbonation through the darkness, some spot and wisps of lacing.

Sadly, the first time I took this one it was served in an iced glass, so the aroma was nonexistent. On a follow up visit to the same bar, I asked for a room temp glass. Much better. Some roasted malt and chocolate sweetness. I get some mild
coffee in those malts, too.

The roasted malt, chocolate, slight sweetness, and mild hops all flavor up gently. Nothing too strong, leading to...

...easy drinking light body and feel, drinking like a dry stout should, ie, a dark beer that's light drinking. Low abv and bitterness with a pleasantly sweet
finish.

It's a good take on a sweet "dry" stout. It works and I'll look for it again.

Solid black, around a medium body with maybe jyst a bit too much carbonation but still a nice overall feel. Aroma is roasted malt,an earthy coffee smell, maybe a bit of dark chocolate. Taste is very similar,a bit sweet in a good way as well as mildly dry. Overall I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it and i think it is an excellent stour

A dry irish stout, with mild sweetness imparted by chocolate and roasted malt. Flaked oats contribute a smooth mouth feel.

Dark but brown in color. Lots of milk chocolate, cream, and roasted malts. Low ABV which is awesome, by far their best beer.

Nice local work. Love to have this available at TEDxAsburyPark.
a) Pours a dark brown body with a one finger tan top, that has loose bubbles, and lasts a bit and laces dots in my snifter.
s) I let it warm in my snifter as then the roast malt and classic dry Irish stout notes of peat fire, earth, coffee dark roast comes across.
t) Taste is classic, roasted malt, dark roast cold-brew coffee, peat fire, with a touch of chocolate sweetness. Balanced and would make a great black and tan.
f) Sessionable....easy drinking light feel, body, balanced clean finish.
o) Drink local, this stout delivers.
