Tastes like sour cherry cider. Too sour for my preference. I just tried the Lindeman's Kreik and thought it tasted like a good cherry soda, but super sweet. This kind of tastes like an unsweetened good cherry soda, but it's pretty good.

Looks like a hazy red wine. Smell also has a tart tangy-ness. Feels somewhat champagne-like. Poured into a dirty sock suspended above my mouth.

A 2015 bought at Arrow Wine for $11.99. Poured all 375 ml from the bottle into a large white wine glass.

A beautiful pour. This is one of the fruited lambics that I like a lot. 4.25

A - Pours ruby red, maybe a bit darker with a one-finger pinkish long lasting frothy head. 4.5

S - Gastric juice, faint metallic, sweet cherries but not overwhelming in any way. 4.25

T - Tart cherries but not sour, faint sweetness, lactic. 4.0

MF - medium light body with a dry finish. 4.25

Poured from 375ml bottle into glass. Best before marked on label as 'Best before end 2033'.
Reddish amber colored body. Minimal pinkish tinged head quickly dissipates to bubble fed ring. Just a few spots of lacing without a real pattern.
Cherries are very strong in the aroma, along with funky yeast aspects. Also the oak barrel.
Taste is very much a mix of the dark cherry and the funky yeast (barnyard, leather, and tobacco). A little bit of sweetness but main influences are the tart cherry and the funky yeast. Adds the pleasant oak barrel taste profile.
A rather thick, medium mouth feel. Tart/sour and dry.
Not too sweet, but very well blended fruit flavor with the base lambic beer. Rather tart/sour than sweet with the cherry fruit additions.

Bottle share. Deep burgundy pour, small ring of pink head. Grape, red wine aroma. Taste is sweet, grape juice, nice lingering finish. Very well rounded.

2013 version.

Pours deep purple-red with a finger of light red head. Nice looking beer.

The nose is black cherry, band-aid, lemon, and tannic notes.

The taste is black cherry, red wine, tobacco, and mild lemon funkiness. Dry and peppery on the backend. 3/10 tartness but definitely some wild, basement-type funk. Spritzy but smooth mouthfeel. Noticeable barrel character. Overall, very good. A little drier than it needs to be, but refined and tasty.

Look: Ruby red with a soft pink head that reduces to tiny bubbles covering the entire surface of the glass
Smell: Dark cheeries, strawberries, mild tartness and funkiness that accompany a kriek, quite fruity with some red wine attributes
Taste: A slightly tart cherry, lots of 'red' fruits, some hay funk driven by the yeast but not overbearing
Feel: Velvety head, smooth carbonation, medium viscosity compared to water
Overall: A good choice for a kriek, not overly 'fruit juicy' but still fruity

Brouwerij Boon "Kriek Marriage Parfait"
375 ml green glass bottle, corked and caged, "2013"

Notes via stream of consciousness: Clear ruby colored body beneath a foamy finger-thick head of pink. Intense aroma of horse blanket. mold/mustiness, soft leather, and light "metallic". The flavor is very tart but not puckeringly sour and the cherry is clear but not overblown. It's a little sweetish in the middle and that leads to a sweetish tail despite the acidity. Of all of the kriek lambic I've tasted this one might be the most accessible. It's very nicely rounded, not too sour or funky, and not too sweet or cherryish. One could easily fall in love with this beer for life and find it hard to let go. Looking back the lacing is pretty nice, as is the head retention, which is unusual for sour beers. Light-medium in body and delicately bristling on the palate with a nice, fine-bubbled, natural carbonation. Superb!

Lovely deep colour, Short lived head
Muted aromas of overripe cherries... sweet.
Taste is more full on and full bodied with cherries to the fore.
Medium bodied, not fizzy...
Overall it's good, but as sometimes the case with Big Sours, misses the mark in case of zestiness...

Purple color, just below average carbonation. Aroma is sour funky grape juice. This was like beers answer to wine,it tasted like funky grape juice. It was a good beer, needed a little more in the taste department.

Drank at Delirium Café a vintage from 2012.

A: Pours a beautiful red to purple body is a rosed head, one finger thick. No lacing.
S: The aroma of *real* cherries is present in a bed of a lightly acid Geuze. Very good.
T: The taste is very subtle having a very soft cherry flavour followed by the regular Geuze profiles of acidity.
M: Body low. High carbonation. Alcohol unnoticed.
O: It's not an amazingly good beer but it's a very good one. Only my second Boon so far.
