Wow, what a priviledge to be involved tasting this beer. A grabbed one of the last pours at De Kelk before it blew, a three year old lambic. On to the beer:

This lambic is orange colored with a gentle toastiness. Little head is formed on the pour and goes away quickly, but not much head is expected out of a lambic. The aroma smells "angry". Angry and sour, with a pleasing sour papaya aroma that I liked a lot.

Straightforward sour at first impression, before a wave a soured fruits come into the picture. A kiss of leather makes a mark. There is a note of alcohol felt, and being at 10% alcohol I could understand that. It's a full bodied beer with a very low amount of carbonation.

Just a little different from the usual lambic. Fun to try, limited edition or not.

Long night at Brasserie 420 during the summer of 2011. Who says you don't shoot pappy...multiple times. Review from notes. Pour is transparent golden amber with tight off white head. The nose has a light fruit and cheese rind with vinegar and light acetic acid in back. Taste is earthy with notes of cheese and golden fruits. Light vinegar and stronger acetic acid in back. Body is a touch heavy and creamy with low carbonation.
