From the 2012-2013 brewing season. High Salinity and full sharp acid mouthfeel push this beer into my book and pairs great with olives

supposedly same as vat 77. Understated geuze, may have affected a day plus of digestion. Good drinkability.

Consumed 3/2017
White head. Golden orange color.
This is a bigger gueuze (bodywise) and it shows with hint of the abv. Lemon citrus, bready malts, pear skins. Oaky. Bubbly feel with champagne notes.

Pouts a hazy bright golden orange color with bright lemon yellow edges and a two finger white head that quickly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Sporadic streaks of spotty lacing left behind.
Pungent aroma that's very inviting with sweet citric acidity, stone fruit, lactic funk and charred oak barrel. Lactic cheesy funk stands out as it warms along with the barnyard/horsey character. The funk and acidity is countered by pale malt and light fruit esters, notably apple and pear. Barnyard funk with cobweb, damp basement, yogurt and horse blanket. Slight mineral presence adding depth to the nose. Smells great.
Lighter end of medium body with sour acidity and lactic funk followed by bready yeast, pale malt and sweet citrus. Not as complex as the aroma suggests. Somewhat light and watery with citric acidity and funky bugs dominating the palate. Dry and mineral-y with sour acidity, pale malt and light fruit. Tart and puckering with lemon juice/pith countered by lactic funk. Subtle buttery flavor with Chardonnay/vinous white wine character along with lemon spritz and lingering acetic sweetness in the finish. Not the easiest beer to drink but not at all harsh. Overall, this beer is pretty good but doesn't live up to the excellent aroma. Decent enough but lacks in complexity compared to others in the style.

Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad.
Hazy orange body with a small head that fades to nil. Earthy, basement, funk, mineral, gueuze goodness. The aroma is a notch above the flavor. Bold, mild to medium acetic character. Good stuff.
