A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice crystal clear golden hue with some
thin white had that fades to leave as light blanket.

S - Aromas of tart smokey lemons, light blankets, gentle funky. No alcohol noticeable.

T - Taste is almost like a beginners level gueuze with nice lemons. Gentle funk, solid tart citrus but not oppressive.

M - Mouthfeel is nice and clean, tart carbonation.

O - Overall this was a very tasty beer.

As a longtime lambic fan, this geuze was highly praised. This was a gift from a friend. Thanks.

Poured immediately after a somewhat disappointed opening nose, no pop at all, this beer produced a generous white head but that didn’t last very long, leaving a small lacing around the glass. Carbonation is way above expected and almost fizzy like a soft drink. Surprising! It is translucid without big chucks a yeast and golden-orange in colour.

The nose is slightly medicinal, which is the first time I found this in a gueuze. Tart apple, lemon, mild oak, notes of underventilated humid basement (!) and some alcohol. The feeling in mouth is fizzy. Man this gueuze is well carbonated! As expected from this style, sourness is present and well felt, but not too biting. Little sweetness is there and takes form as a stone fruit flavour, maybe ripe peaches or something like that. The aftertaste is not very long, flavours acid green apples are coming up. Bitterness is low.

Overall, a great and pleasant example of what a Lambic is. A very nice beer from BOON.

Bottle: Poured a light golden/orangey color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention with minimal lacing. Aroma of light funky notes with some green apple and tart notes is very refreshing. Taste is also dominated by light funky notes with some green apples notes and some tart notes while maintaining a good balance and avoiding too much acidity. Body is full for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Solid Lambic from Boon with great level of drinkability with some very good complexity.

brought this back from Belgium in the spring, shared with many at my cellar cleaning.

Light fizzy head, decent lacing, mostly clear sun golden color.

Nose very nice, good musty funk, good complex gueuze, little tart lemon, grassy, funk, very nice.

Taste semi sweet but dry, nice tart funk, lemon, grassy little dank like yeasty funk, great tart gueuze like funk.

Mouth is med to lighter bod, decent carb, little pop.

Overall pretty nice, but nothing special like it seemed like it would be.

From the 2012-2013 brewing season. High Salinity and full sharp acid mouthfeel push this beer into my book and pairs great with olives
