Appearance - Pale amber with two fingers of head, and some brown sediment. The head eventually reduces to a few millimeters.

Smell - Strong with hints of fruit, in general quite a pleasant smell.

Taste - Fairly spicy with a hint of raisin. The alcohol seemed a little too prominent at first. However, the taste improved and the alcohol taste died down as the beer warmed up. I would suggest not opening this beer until it reaches about 10°C (50°F).

Mouthfeel - Good carbonation level. Aftertaste and texture are fairly good but nothing special.

Drinkability - I certainly would have liked another one afterwards, which is rare for a beer with over 8% ABV.

Overall - At first this seemed quite similar to Kwak. However, although I did allow the bottle to warm up for a while before opening, the taste and smell of the beer improved significantly as it warmed, and the similarities to Kwak seemed to completely disappear. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys fairly high ABV beers.

Very good flavor with a very good head that lasts. It had a very nice color and is very drinkable. You can certainly tell it is an alcoholic beverage as it is apparent in the smell and the taste. That said, it is a quite good brew That I look forward to enjoying again.

Body is a light orange with a an almost perfect white head.
Yeasty, buttery aroma. Taste is similar yeasty ester, little spice and quiet buttery.
Little dryness, medium finish that doesn't hang around long. Not much alcohol warmth coming through for 8.5%. Pretty average overall.
