You probably wouldn't go wrong with a Leffe; it is like the Hoegaarden, either you think it is
not bad or you think it is close to being a great beer. The Leffe tripel exhibited the "Leffe
typicality" which is primary in the yeast and spices. This tripel came in a smaller, 30cl bottle.
It pours out nicely golden with a generous not too frothy head with an apt amount of carbonation.
I was able to see some dark sediments floating about at the bottom of the beer. The Leffe Tripel
smells yeasty and laid with spices like the Corriander. This was pretty similar to the Leffe
Tripel; I think that the yeasty taste is stronger and the spices was slightly different.
Maltiness level was probably around the same but the Tripel was subtlely fruity, maybe starfruit,
green grapes or something along that kind of fresh fruit taste. The Leffe blond was not fruity
at all. The tastes were strong rich and very well balanced and I could easily find an
appreciation for it. The mouth feel should be close to full body and the carbonation was just
right and it goes down amazingly smooth for an 8.5 ABV Tripel. Very smooth; very high level of
drinkability and, in fact refreshing and cooling which is not as common in most tripels. The
after taste was a fairly lasting yeasty, fruity, spicey and slightly malty taste. A great tripel
and if I were to compare it to the Chimay Tripel what I like about the Chimay Tripel would be a
good amount of fruitiness which is less common in blond beers as compared to in brune beers.
Leffe is a great beer; I have the final Leffe to try and that's the Brune; I am living in the
belief that it would be the best Leffe and my next 10/10. Yea, we'll see. :)

Very good flavor with a very good head that lasts. It had a very nice color and is very drinkable. You can certainly tell it is an alcoholic beverage as it is apparent in the smell and the taste. That said, it is a quite good brew That I look forward to enjoying again.

Body is a light orange with a an almost perfect white head.
Yeasty, buttery aroma. Taste is similar yeasty ester, little spice and quiet buttery.
Little dryness, medium finish that doesn't hang around long. Not much alcohol warmth coming through for 8.5%. Pretty average overall.
