A- Very cloudy light golden color, a finger of head that settles to a single layer too quickly, and no lacing.

S- Complex. Spicy phenolic clove, as well as some orange peel, pepper, and tons of golden, sweet malt. Basically, go read the style guidelines in bjcp... it smells like that.

T- And... ditto to the taste. Tastes like a perfect tripel, and nails the guidelines. Banana, clove, grapefruit, pepper... Starts off with a lovely soft sweet, malt character, complimented by the phenolics. Hop bitterness is surprisingly evident towards the finish, but is not supported by the carbonation.

M- Smooth, medium-bodied. finishes dry with some warming alcohol and the lingering bitterness and slight astringency. Carbonation is a bit low for the style.

D- All being said, while this beer is not exactly the definition of a tripel, it is an excellent beer and well worth the money. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Very good flavor with a very good head that lasts. It had a very nice color and is very drinkable. You can certainly tell it is an alcoholic beverage as it is apparent in the smell and the taste. That said, it is a quite good brew That I look forward to enjoying again.

Body is a light orange with a an almost perfect white head.
Yeasty, buttery aroma. Taste is similar yeasty ester, little spice and quiet buttery.
Little dryness, medium finish that doesn't hang around long. Not much alcohol warmth coming through for 8.5%. Pretty average overall.
