750 ml caged, corked bottle purchased from a supermarket in Bourganeuf, France. Pours a cloudy golden color with a medium-thick dense smooth head. Smells of peaches, apricots, and a floral hop overtone. Taste has the fruit up front, but this soon gives way to a maltiness that is not evident in the appearance. It is a bit heavy for the light nature of a tripel. The finish is dry & refreshing, with the hops showing up at that point. Mouthfeel is creamy. If anything, I would have expected silky but creamy it is. The drinkability is very good. The alcohol shows itself only as a warming finish & the dryness lends a refreshing element to beer. All in all a good beer. Not what I would have expected, but sometimes you just head where life, or the beer, steers you.

Very good flavor with a very good head that lasts. It had a very nice color and is very drinkable. You can certainly tell it is an alcoholic beverage as it is apparent in the smell and the taste. That said, it is a quite good brew That I look forward to enjoying again.

Body is a light orange with a an almost perfect white head.
Yeasty, buttery aroma. Taste is similar yeasty ester, little spice and quiet buttery.
Little dryness, medium finish that doesn't hang around long. Not much alcohol warmth coming through for 8.5%. Pretty average overall.
